  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Gets ejected Sunday

Senzel went hitless in three at-bats in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Rockies before being ejected in the fourth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

The ejection was the first of Senzel's young MLB career and prevented him from building on his four-game hitting streak. Senzel is unlikely to face any further discipline for the incident and should remain in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Phillies' Jean Segura: Suffers shin bruise

Segura was diagnosed with a right shin contusion after leaving Sunday's game against the Braves, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

It initially looked like a knee issue for Segura, who sustained the injury on a tag play at second base on Ronald Acuna's stolen base attempt. The 29-year-old will have Monday's scheduled off day to help his recovery before missing any additional time. According to Breen, manager Gabe Kapler said the team doesn't have any long-term concerns regarding the injury.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Phillies' Jean Segura: Leaves with knee injury

Segura was removed from Sunday's game against the Braves with an apparent right knee injury, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Segura suffered the injury while applying a tag on Ronald Acuna -- who also exited the game -- on a stolen-base attempt, and he was unable to put much weight on his right leg when leaving the field. The severity of the injury is currently unclear, but the fact Segura required help walking off the field is a troubling sign.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Scores three times in win

Muncy went 2-for-4 with a walk, three runs and an RBI in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Muncy made his second consecutive start at second base in the contest and looks on track to see most of his playing time at that position for the foreseeable future with Enrique Hernandez (hand) on track to join Chris Taylor (forearm) on the 10-day injured list. The increased defensive versatility is just another boon to Muncy's fantasy value, which gets a greater bump in leagues that count on-base percentage rather than batting average as a category.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Brewers' Mike Moustakas: Day off Sunday

Moustakas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Moustakas had his 12-game hit streak snapped Monday and is 0-for-11 in his last four games, so he'll head to the bench with left-hander Jose Quintana taking the mound for Chicago. Tyler Saladino will start at the hot corner in his absence.

  • Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL

    Reds' Kyle Farmer: Rejoins Reds

Farmer (concussion) was activated off the 7-day injured list Sunday.

Farmer had a two-game rehab stint in the minors this week to clear the way for his return from the concussion. The 28-year-old should resume his role as a utility player and will serve as the backup catcher to Tucker Barnhart with Curt Casali (knee) still on the shelf.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Remains on bench Sunday

Riley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

It's the fourth straight contest on the bench for Riley, who has a .169 average with a 41.5 percent strikeout rate in July. The Braves may simply be giving the 22-year-old some extra time off to help him reset, but if replacements Adam Duvall and Ender Inciarte perform well, he may find it difficult to find playing time.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Mets' J.D. Davis: Could become primary left fielder

Davis is expected to see the lion's share of the playing time in left field for at least the next week and a half after Dominic Smith (foot) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Davis drew the first start in Smith's stead in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Pirates, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBI in the contest. Despite seeing somewhat sporadic action throughout the season, Davis has been one of the Mets' best hitters when called upon, slashing .297/.359/.483 (125 wRC+) across 259 plate appearances. Now that he has a clear path to playing time, Davis should make for an intriguing short-term pickup in fantasy leagues where he's still available.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Mets' J.D. Davis: Hits two-run homer

Davis went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in a 3-0 victory against the Pirates on Saturday.

The 26-year-old accounted for half of the Mets offense with his two hits. Davis has multiple hits in each of his last five games where he registered at least two at-bats. He's batting .297 with 10 home runs, 28 RBI and 32 runs in 236 at-bats this season.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Hot streak continues

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 3-1 victory against the Rockies on Saturday.

The 28-year-old is having a great month, particularly in the home run category. He has 11 homers in 75 at-bats, giving him 28 on the season. Suarez is also 9-for-23 (.391) in his last seven contests. The great month has placed him well on the way to setting a career high in the home run department; Suarez hit a career-best 34 homers last year. He is batting .255 with 46 extra-base hits, 69 RBI, 55 runs and two steals in 373 at-bats this season.
