Chapman was 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and a hit-by-pitch during Friday's 2-0 win over the Marlins.

His 2-for-2 game on Friday included his 10th home run, pulling him into a three-way tie atop the Giants' leaderboard. The 32-year-old has also struck out just once in his last five games while going a combined 6-for-13 at the plate, a good sign for a hitter with a strikeout rate of 24.6 percent.

Graham Pauley 3B | MIA
Marlins' Graham Pauley: Shuttled back to minors
Pauley was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday.
Pauley will be optioned to the minors for the second time this season. He began the season as the regular third baseman for Miami, but the return of Connor Norby has left him without a regular role. Pauley will likely be back in the majors at some point thanks to his defensive versatility along the infield.

Diamondbacks' Ildemaro Vargas: Back with Snakes on MLB deal
Vargas signed a major-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Thursday, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Phoenix reports.

The 33-year-old utility man slashed .261/.330/.397 across 221 plate appearances during his time in Triple-A and will give the D-backs extra depth at every infield position. He's also capable of playing in left field.

Eric Wagaman 1B | MIN
Marlins' Eric Wagaman: Three hits in Wednesday's win
Wagaman went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Padres.
It's his third three-hit performance in the last 12 games, a stretch in which Wagaman is slashing .340/.370/.460 with a homer, seven runs and seven RBI. The 27-year-old has emerged as an everyday player for the Marlins, seeing most of his action at first base right now with occasional forays into left field, but his overall fantasy impact remains minimal -- he has a .693 OPS on the season with four homers and one steal in 50 contests.

The exact nature of those rotational activities were not divulged in the report, but it's safe to assume that means swinging a bat and taking batting practice. He's missed three-plus weeks with the oblique issue and is expected to require a multi-game rehab assignment.
