Rendon went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Monday against the Dodgers.

Rendon's second-inning shot, his 11th of the season, started the scoring as Washington took the series opener 4-2 on the West Coast. The third baseman is on the fast track to a career year. He's on pace to hit 30-plus homers while driving in 100-plus runs, two marks Rendon's never approached before.

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and three RBI during Saturday's win over San Diego.

The third baseman has gone 6-for-13 with two home runs, two doubles, five RBI and four runs through his past three games. The heater has him up to a .288/.347/.572 slash line with 14 homers, 39 RBI and 40 runs for the campaign, and Arenado has quickly put himself back in the running to pace the National League in homers and RBI.

LeMahieu went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs during Saturday's win over the Padres.

The second baseman has struggled to follow up on last season's breakout (.911 OPS) and sports a .281/.351/.362 slash line with 23 RBI and 29 runs. LeMahieu has been much better of late, though, as he's recorded 13 RBI and 13 runs through his past 22 games while hitting .310. Batting second in the powerful Colorado lineup is a cushy gig, and he also has the benefit of playing half his games at hitter-friendly Coors Field, so his fantasy floor remains high.

Rendon is out of Saturday's lineup against the A's, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

He will get the day off after starting 18 of the last 19 games and hitting .317/.427/.683 with five home runs and two steals over that stretch. Stephen Drew draws a rare start at the hot corner, hitting seventh against righty Daniel Mengden.

The outburst broke a 2-for-22 mini-slump by Arenado. His numbers so far are ever-so-slightly down from last season, but he still has a .284/.346/.560 slash line and there's still plenty of baseball left to be played at Coors Field in 2017.

The 26-year-old's power surge continues. Over his last 10 games, Rendon is hitting .410/.465/.923 with five doubles, five homers, nine runs and 12 RBI, and he's on pace for career highs in all three slash categories as well as homers and RBI.

Peterson was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

He hit just .194/.293/.259 with zero home runs and two steals in 123 plate appearances this season. Johan Camargo was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to take over Peterson's utility duties.

McMahon was promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Nick Groke of The Denver Post reports.

In his second season with Double-A Hartford, the top prospect showed that he had mastered the level, slashing .326/.390/.536 with six home runs, 28 runs scored and 32 RBI in 49 games. He also added seven steals and learned a new position (second base), pushing the Rockies to advance him up the organizational ladder. McMahon drastically improved his strikeout rate with the Yard Goats this season (19 percent), and if he can keep it up with the Isotopes, his added positional versatility could make him a candidate for a call to the big leagues toward the end of the season.

The bomb snapped a nine-game homer drought, which was his longest of the campaign. With 13 homers, 35 RBI, 37 runs and a .276/.336/.547 slash line, Arenado is turning in another monster fantasy campaign. He's established himself as one of the most reliable assets year in, year out, and playing half his games in Coors Field is a nice bonus.

He's hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games, posting a .286/.352/.612 slash line with four homers, 10 RBI and nine runs over that stretch. With the Rockies' offense, and the team as a whole, enjoying a huge start to 2017, Arenado should continue seeing plenty of run-producing opportunities from the heart of the team's batting order.
