  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

    Orioles' Ramon Urias: Nearing return

Urias (oblique) took early batting practice and also fielded groundballs prior to Monday's game against the Mariners, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.

Urias has been out since June 10 but has ramped up his recovery significantly within the last week. Silver further reported that Urias is "closing in on a return," so he will presumably not require a rehab assignment. Prior to going down, Urias recorded a .225/.273/.387 line across 188 plate appearances while serving as Baltimore's primary third baseman.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Angels' Matt Duffy: Lands on injured list

Duffy was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to lower-back spasms.

Duffy exited Sunday's game against Seattle due to the injury, which is evidently serious enough to knock him out for at least 10 days. Matt Thaiss was recalled to take his place on the roster while David MacKinnon is starting at third base in his place.

  • Jake Burger 1B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Day off Monday

Burger isn't starting Monday's game against the Angels.

Burger started in the last five games and went 4-for-19 with a triple, two RBI, a run and five strikeouts. Josh Harrison will shift to the hot corner while Lenyn Sosa starts at second base Monday.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Reinstated from 10-day IL

Anderson (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. He'll start at third base and bat seventh in the Marlins' series opener in St. Louis, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.

Anderson spent just under a month on the injured list but began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday and went 1-for-10 with a walk and five strikeouts over three minor-league games. He should see plenty of playing time at the hot corner now that he's been activated, but Jon Berti's strong play recently has likely earned him his fair share of at-bats. Anderson slashed .267/.374/.410 with two homers, 21 runs, six RBI and a stolen base over 32 games prior to his absence.

  • Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH

Orioles' Tyler Nevin: Remains on bench Monday

Nevin isn't starting Monday's game against the Mariners, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Nevin went just 1-for-16 with two runs, five walks and five strikeouts over his last six games and will be out of the lineup for a second consecutive matchup. Jonathan Arauz is starting at the hot corner and batting eighth.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Slugs clutch homer

LeMahieu went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-3 extra-inning win against the Astros on Sunday.

The Yankees entered the seventh inning of the contest without a hit one day after being no-hit by a trio of Houston pitchers. Giancarlo Stanton broke the spell with a solo homer in the seventh, and LeMahieu followed with a two-run blast in the eighth that tied the score 3-3. It was the infielder's fourth homer in June and seventh overall this season. LeMahieu is slashing .303/.425/.515 with a pair of long balls, five RBI, five runs and a 7:4 BB:K over his past 10 games.

  • Jonah Bride 3B | TEX

Athletics' Jonah Bride: Takes seat after collision

Bride (shoulder/face) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Though Bride wasn't diagnosed with a concussion after he collided with teammate Chad Pinder during Sunday's win over the Royals, the rookie sustained a right shoulder injury as well as a facial laceration. He'll need at least one day to heal up from the injuries, allowing Nick Allen and Sheldon Neuse to pick up starts at second base and third base, respectively.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Raps out three hits in win

Paredes went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Pirates.

While making his fifth start in six games Sunday, Paredes continued his sizzling ways at the plate. Over those five starts, Paredes has produced an otherworldly 2.093 OPS and seven extra-base hits (five home runs and two doubles) in 21 plate appearances. Paredes' hot streak is likely enough for him to hold down a regular role in the Tampa Bay lineup for the time being, with the 23-year-old capable of filling in at first base, third base or second base.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Brewers' Jace Peterson: Steals base in win

Peterson went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a steal in Sunday's win over the Blue Jays.

Peterson scored on a Christian Yelich groundout in the second inning. He also swiped a bag in the game. It was his ninth steal of the season. The third baseman is on a three-game hit streak, raising his batting average to .231 in the process. Peterson is slashing .262/.324/.431 in June.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Perfect day at the plate

Senzel went 3-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored and a walk in a 10-3 win over the Giants on Sunday.

The No. 8 hitter enabled the Reds' offensive barrage from the bottom of the order by not making an out the entire game. The 26-year-old center fielder has now hit safely in four straight games and is hitting .236 on the season with one home run and 12 RBI.
