Walls (illness) will start Monday's game against Toronto, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Walls was scratched Saturday due to illness and didn't play in Sunday's contest, but his illness evidently wasn't a particularly severe one, as he's already set to return to action. He'll bat eighth and play shortstop.

Candelario is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Candelario will exit the lineup for the first time since June 26, ending a streak of 73 consecutive starts. Though he doesn't stand out in any one counting-stats category except for doubles (41), Candelario's status as one of the game's top ironmen in 2021 has made him a useful compiler for fantasy managers. Across 588 plate appearances, Candelario has delivered a solid .273 average to go with 16 home runs, 72 runs and 65 RBI.

Moustakas will be on the bench Monday against the Pirates.

The Reds continue with their plan of strictly platooning Moustakas, as he'll sit against lefty Dillon Peters, just as he's done against every other southpaw the team has faced since he returned from the injured list in early August. He's certainly not making a case for a larger role, as he's hit just .179/.228/.316 since his return even while being protected against same-sided pitching. Eugenio Suarez will take over at third base.

Sosa went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI doubles and a run in a win over the Padres on Sunday.

Sosa plated Tyler O'Neill with his two-baggers in both the first and fifth innings, giving him his second multi-hit effort in the last four games. The 25-year-old's offense has been a revelation this season, as he's now carrying a .277/.348/.405 slash line and has knocked in six runs over his last eight games with some timely hitting akin to Sunday's.

Riley went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Giants.

Riley doubled off Anthony DeSclafani in the seventh inning and scored on Adam Duvall's home run. He has at least one hit in eight of his last nine games. The 24-year-old is slashing .298/.367/.515 with 29 long balls, 89 RBI and 80 runs scored in 605 plate appearances this season.

Hayes went 1-for-5 with a run scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Marlins.

He's found a home batting leadoff, hitting first in the lineup exclusively in September. Hayes held a slash line of .308/.327/.365 entering Sunday's action. He's swiped three bags during that span. Although Hayes has collected only three extra-base hits (all doubles) in his last 71 at-bats, his batting average boost gives hope to fantasy managers for 2022.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run, a walk and a strikeout in 3-2 win over the Angels on Sunday.

Chapman doubled in the second inning, homered in the fourth and walked in the 10th to reach base three times for the second time this weekend. Despite a slow September thus far, Chapman had a strong series against Los Angeles, going 4-for-11 with three walks.

Wisdom went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Sunday's win over the Brewers.

It was a game of highs and lows for Wisdom, as the 30-year-old struck out four times, but he also connected for his 27th home run of the season with two runners on in the eighth inning. In doing so, Wisdom set a new team rookie home-run record, surpassing the 26 long balls hit by Kris Bryant back in 2015. Considering Wisdom came into the year with four career home runs in 43 games at the MLB level, the power surge has been quite the pleasant surprise.

Ramirez went 4-for-4 with a home run, a walk, three RBI and four runs scored in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Yankees.

It was a perfect day at the dish for the third baseman, and his teammates were efficient in getting him around the bases when he got aboard. Ramirez has gone 10-for-17 (.588) with two homers, seven RBI and 10 runs scored in his last five games. The 29-year-old is up to a .265/.357/.552 slash line with 35 long balls, 94 RBI, 103 runs scored and 24 stolen bases through 575 plate appearances overall.

Castro will be promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis to close out the season, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Castro was sent to Double-A Altoona in late August, and he hit just .082 with a homer, six runs, five RBI and a stolen base across 18 minor-league games since then. He'll now face a higher level of competition in Indianapolis late in the year.
