Moncada (upper leg) is starting Wednesday against the Twins.

Moncada missed three consecutive games after aggravating an upper leg injury Saturday, but he'll be back in action Wednesday. Over his past three games, Moncada went 4-for-11 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs while striking out twice.

Moustakas went 0-for-3 with a walk Tuesday in the Reds' 16-2 loss to the Cardinals.

Moustakas hit a home run in two of his first three starts of the season, but his power production has disappeared since then. Dating back to Aug. 1, Moustakas has churned out only one extra-base hit (a double) over a 19-game stretch. The extended power drought hasn't resulted in Moustakas falling in the batting order, as he'll slot in fifth in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale.

Davis (hip) will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Orioles, batting second and serving as the designated hitter.

Davis sat for a pair of games after getting hit in the hip by a pitch on Sunday. He's evidently now ready to hit, though he's not yet ready to take the field. It's possible he finds himself serving as the designated hitter more often going forward even when fully healthy, as new addition Todd Frazier should spent a fair amount of time at the hot corner, where he'll be playing Wednesday.

Arenado went 0-for-2 with a walk Tuesday in the Rockies' 23-5 loss to the Giants.

Due to the blowout nature of the contest, Arenado was pulled out early and lost out on an extra plate appearance as a result, denying him of another opportunity to extend his hitting streak to eight games. Though Arenado batted .462 during the seven-game stretch, he was unable to end his ongoing power outage. Arenado has logged one home run over his last 17 contests.

McMahon is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Giants, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

McMahon finds himself on the bench against a righty (Logan Webb) for the first time all season. Garrett Hampson starts at second base.

Longoria will start at third base and will bat third Wednesday against the Rockies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Longoria will occupy the three hole for the eighth contest in a row, so he's seemingly settled on a new regular lineup spot after most commonly batting fourth or fifth in the first half of the Giants' 60-game slate. Batting two spots behind emerging star Mike Yastrzemski has been a boon for Longoria's fantasy value, as he'll take a four-game RBI streak into Wednesday's series finale.

Muncy fielded ground balls at third base during pregame infield practice Tuesday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

While Justin Turner remains on the injured list, the Dodgers will likely mix and match starters at the hot corner. Edwin Rios got the start there Tuesday -- Muncy was in the lineup at first base, as usual -- but it wouldn't be a surprise to see Muncy make a start or two at third in Turner's absence. He started 26 games at the hot corner last season and has logged six starts there so far in 2020.

Hayes went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 8-7 extra-innings loss to the Cubs.

In his major-league debut, the 23-year-old nearly played hero for the Bucs, as his sixth-inning double sparked a rally from a 6-1 deficit that Hayes himself finished off with a solo shot in the eighth to send the game to extras. He also showcased his speed by scoring from third base in the 10th on a chopper back to the pitcher that tied things back up at 7-7, but as has been the case for most of the year, Pittsburgh couldn't finish the job. Hayes' ability to hit for power was still in question as recently as last year, when he only managed a .150 ISO through 110 games for Triple-A Indianapolis. However, he should get the rest of September to demonstrate that he can make a consistent impact with his bat as well as his glove in the bigs.

LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Rays.

He gave the Yankees an early 2-0 lead by taking Trevor Richards deep in the first and third innings. LeMahieu has hit safely in five straight games since coming off the injured list, boosting his slash line on the year to a stunning .402/.444/.587 with four homers, 10 RBI and 19 runs through 24 games. If he avoids another IL stint in September and can stay hot, he could take a run at baseball's first .400 campaign since Ted Williams in 1941 -- although the achievement would obviously come with a giant asterisk given the nature of the 2020 season.

Toro went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Rangers.

Toro started at third base as the Astros continue to help the Astros manage the absence of Alex Bregman (hamstring). Recent reports indicate Bregman's rehab is progressing and he could be activated on the upcoming 10-game road trip that begins Friday, meaning Toro's current playing time window is likely closing soon.
