  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Swipes three bags

Ramirez went 1-for-2 with two runs scored, three stolen bases and two walks in Monday's win over Milwaukee.

Ramirez singled, stole two bags and scored in the fourth inning. He later walked and scored again after swiping his third base of the night. It was his first multi-steal game of the year and first time stealing three in one contest since 2021. Ramirez has gone 15-for-40 (.375) over his last 11 games, raising his slash line to .289/.356/.472 with 12 steals through 163 plate appearances.

  • Padres' Kale Fountain: Hot start to 2025

Fountain (elbow) has gone 6-for-12 with two doubles, five RBI and three runs scored over five games this season in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Fountain didn't make his professional debut in 2024 after being selected with the 151st overall pick of the First-Year Player Draft in July, and he then underwent Tommy John surgery in October. Though he's not yet playing in the field, the third base prospect is off to a strong start in the ACL as a designated hitter, registering at least one base knock in each of his first five appearances.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Expected to be activated Tuesday

LeMahieu (calf/hip) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

LeMahieu is set to join the Yankees after missing the entirety of the 2025 season to this point while recovering from a left calf strain and a right hip issue. The 36-year-old had seen most of his starts at third base and first base over the previous two seasons, but he's expected to step into a regular role at second base initially while Jazz Chisholm (oblique) is on the shelf. Boone suggested that LeMahieu will likely be limited to a bench role Tuesday in Seattle, but LeMahieu is expected to start at the keystone in Wednesday's series finale with the Mariners. LeMahieu struggled to a career-low .204 average while adding two home runs, 26 RBI and 19 runs over 201 at-bats in 67 games with New York in 2024.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Not activated from IL yet

LeMahieu (calf) was not activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game in Seattle, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

LeMahieu has joined the Yankees in Seattle, but the team hasn't put him on the active roster just yet. That could come as soon as Tuesday. LeMahieu has been shelved all season with a calf strain and more recently a hip issue.

  • Eric Wagaman 1B | MIN

Marlins' Eric Wagaman: Not in Monday's lineup

Wagaman is not in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Cubs.

Wagaman is carrying a sub-.600 OPS into play Monday, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he begins to see his playing time slip. The Marlins are starting Matt Mervis at first base in Monday's series opener.

  • Connor Norby 2B | MIA

Marlins' Connor Norby: Grabbing seat Monday

Norby is absent from the lineup for Monday's game versus the Cubs.

Norby started all three games of the Marlins' series against the White Sox this past weekend and reached base a total of five times. However, he'll get a breather for the series opener versus the Cubs, yielding to Graham Pauley at third base.

  • Jace Jung 2B | DET

Tigers' Jace Jung: Out of Tigers lineup

Jung is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Red Sox.

Right-hander Tanner Houck is on the bump for the Red Sox, but the left-handed-hitting Jung will grab a seat after starting each of the last three games against righties. Zach McKinstry will pick up a start at third base and bat sixth for the Tigers in the series opener.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Joining team in Seattle

LeMahieu (calf) is slated to join the Yankees for the start of their series Monday in Seattle, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

The team has not confirmed that LeMahieu will be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the series opener, but it seems likely that he will be on the active roster. LeMahieu has been out all season with a calf strain and more recently a hip issue, but he's healthy now. The 36-year-old has gone 12-for-27 with one home run and a 4:3 K:BB over nine rehab games and could be the Yankees' primary second baseman while Jazz Chisholm (oblique) is sidelined.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Giants' Matt Chapman: Multi-hit effort in loss

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run scored during Sunday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Twins.

The third baseman cracked a double into right field in the fourth inning before coming around to score on a two-run home run by Heliot Ramos. Chapman also singled in the eighth. With that, the 32-year-old notched his ninth multi-hit game of the 2025 campaign and his third in May. He has now logged at least one hit in seven of his last 10 outings, slashing .306/.375/.611 with nine runs scored, eight RBI, three homers and two doubles across 40 plate appearances in that span.

  • Aaron Schunk 3B | ATL

Rockies' Aaron Schunk: Starts up rehab assignment

Schunk (groin) made starts at third base and second base during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque over the weekend, going 2-for-7 with a home run and two RBI.

Schunk appears to be in a similar spot in his recovery from a left groin strain as Ezequiel Tovar (hip) and Tyler Freeman (oblique), both of whom also started in games with Albuquerque on Saturday and Sunday. Since both Schunk and Freeman are projected to handle utility roles once activated from the injured list, the Rockies could option one of the two players to the minors. Before landing on the IL on April 26, Schunk appeared in seven games for Colorado and hit .250 with one run over 21 plate appearances.
