  • Tyler Wade SS | TEX

Padres' Tyler Wade: Idle against lefty

Wade is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

San Diego is stocking up on extra right-handed bats to counter southpaw Andrew Heaney, so the lefty-hitting Wade will hit the bench for the second day in a row while Brandon Lockridge gets another start in center field. Both Wade and Lockridge could see their opportunities dwindle during the upcoming week, as Jackson Merrill (hamstring) is on track to return from the 10-day injured list.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Receiving afternoon off

Caminero is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

He'll head to the bench for the first time since April 5 in what appears to be a planned rest day after 25 straight starts. Curtis Mead will fill in at third base Sunday, giving Caminero a chance to hit the reset button after a 1-for-16 stretch at the plate has brought his batting average down to .240.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Back in action Sunday

Ramirez (ankle) is starting at third base and batting third against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

The 32-year-old was held out of Saturday's starting nine after he suffered an ankle sprain during Friday's contest, but he'll end up missing only one game. Ramirez is in the midst of a 10-game homer drought during which he has a .270/.289/.297 slash line with one double and five steals.

  • Will Wilson SS | SEA

Guardians' Will Wilson: Starts at third base

Wilson started at third base and went 0-for-2 in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Jose Ramirez was shelved after spraining his right ankle during Friday's game, which opened up the hot corner for Wilson. The Guardians have multiple options currently on the roster to fill in at third, but Ramirez's injury is not considered serious. Wilson has gone 3-for-16 with two walks and a run scored since being called up in April.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Nationals' Amed Rosario: Plates four runs in victory

Rosario went 3-for-6 with a home run, a double and four RBI in an 11-6 win against the Reds on Saturday.

Rosario doubled home a run in the fourth inning and later recorded the biggest hit for the Nationals, cracking a three-run home run in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. The long ball was the second of the season for the veteran infielder -- the other came in his season debut March 29. Rosario's performance Saturday was also his first multi-hit effort since April 5. In between, he batted just .200 over 40 at-bats.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Belts solo shot Saturday

Machado went 1-for-3 with one walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Pirates.

Machado tied things up at 1-1 in the seventh inning, when he took Bailey Falter deep to left field for a 391-foot solo homer. Machado has recorded at least 28 home runs in each of his last four seasons, but he has only three homers through 131 plate appearances this season. He is slashing .280/.344/.441 with six stolen bases, 20 runs scored and 14 RBI.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Giants' Matt Chapman: Smacks go-ahead grand slam

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a grand slam in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Rockies.

Chapman put the Giants up for good in the sixth inning, when he took Jake Bird deep to center field for a 402-foot grand slam. Chapman has homered in back-to-back games and is up to seven long balls on the season, which is 13th most in the National League. He's slashing .205/.354/.419 with four stolen bases, 16 runs scored and 21 RBI in 144 plate appearances this season.

  • Ramon Urias 2B | HOU

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Placed on injured list

The Orioles placed Urias on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a right hamstring strain, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Urias' hamstring has prevented him from playing since Friday, and now that he's on the IL, it will continue to keep him on the sidelines until at least May 13. Coby Mayo was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move and will presumably get regular work at third base until Urias or Jordan Westburg (hamstring) returns.

  • Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN

Reds' Noelvi Marte: Getting breather Saturday

Marte is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus Washington.

After a blistering stretch during which he batted .471 over eight games between April 20 and April 28, Marte has slowed down a bit of late, going just 2-for-16 across his last four games. The 23-year-old will take a seat to begin Saturday while Santiago Espinal gets a start at the hot corner for the Reds.

  • Ramon Urias 2B | HOU

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Remaining out Saturday

Urias (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.

Urias was a late scratch from Friday's lineup due to hamstring tightness, and he'll miss a second consecutive game Saturday while Emmanuel Rivera starts at third base. Baltimore hasn't provided any updates on Urias' status, but it seems likely that he's headed for the injured list with Coby Mayo set to come up from Triple-A Norfolk.
