Giants third baseman Matt Duffy drove in three runs to lead the Giants to a 6-2 win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

"He's a ballplayer," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said, per MLB.com. "This kid, runs well, I think he's getting better and better at third base. I just love the way he competes at the plate."

Duffy drove in two runs when he hit a home run off J.A. Happ in the second inning. He finished the game 3 for 4 with two runs scored. Over his last 11 games, Duffy is 13 for 36 with three home runs and seven RBI.

"It's nice to know you're going to be in the lineup more [often] than not," Duffy said. "I still go up to the plate with the same approach -- just trying to put together a good at-bat and do something to help the team win."

Rays third baseman Evan Longoria was able to start Tuesday against the Nationals after leaving Monday's game after he was hit on the left wrist by a pitch. Longoria started at third base and hit third Tuesday.

Longoria is batting .244 with one double, one home run, four RBI, four runs, four walks and 12 strikeouts in 13 June games.

Rockies second baseman DJ LeMahieu is slotted in the No. 9 spot in the batting order for Tuesday's game against the Astros. LeMahieu is hitless over his last 10 at-bats, so after batting first or second in each of the last 18 games, he'll be at the bottom of the order in Houston.

Despite the mini-slump, LeMahieu is still having a fantastic month at the plate. Through 15 games in June, he owns a .328/.368/.406 slash line with five doubles and five RBI. He has hit safely in all but three of the 15 games this month.

Orioles third baseman Manny Machado went 0 for 3, with a walk, in Monday's win over Philadelphia. 

Machado had his first hitless game since June 5, snapping an eight-game hitting streak. Machado batted .455 with a 1.258 OPS over the streak. 

Machado stole his ninth base of the season. 

Rays third baseman Evan Longoria was forced to leave Monday's game against the Nationals after being hit by a pitch on the left wrist, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

Longoria was 1 for 1 with one RBI before exiting the game. After the game, X-rays on the wrist were negative and Longoria is considered day to day, reports The Washington Post.

The Giants will welcome back Angel Pagan, Buster Posey and Matt Duffy to their lineup this Monday against the Mariners. 

Pagan, Posey and Duffy all had a day off Sunday. They're batting in their usual positions as well — Pagan third, Posey fourth and Duffy seventh. Without Pagan, Posey and Duffy starting on Sunday, the Giants lost 4-0 to the Diamondbacks. 

Brewers shortstop Jean Segura is catching a break Monday against the visiting Royals. He had played in 16 consecutive games.

Segura has hit safely in 14 of his last 17 games and boasts a slash line of .285/.317/.394.

Blue Jays left fielder Danny Valencia went 2 for 4 with a walk, in Sunday's win over Boston. 

Valencia hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning. He now has two home runs and 15 RBI on the year. 

Braves second baseman Jace Peterson hit his second home run of the season in Sunday afternoon’s 10-8 loss against the Mets.

Peterson hit a three-run shot over the right field wall against Mets pitcher Dillon Gee, who struggled mightily during his time in the game. Peterson finished the day 3 for 5 and also hit a double. His three RBI for the game gives him 27 for the season.

Peterson has been on fire lately as he’s hitting .348 over his last 10 games.

Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado hit a two-run home run in the top of the first inning of Sunday afternoon’s 4-1 win against the Marlins.

The homer was Arenado’s 16th of the season with his RBI total increasing to 49. Arenado finished the game 1 for 3. Though he hit a homer, he’s only hitting .194 over his last 10 games.
