  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Smacks 36th homer

Muncy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Tigers.

Muncy's blast got the Dodgers on the board in the sixth inning against Tigers starter Reese Olson. It also extended Muncy's hitting streak to 11 games, though he's gone 13-for-43 (.302) with just two multi-hit efforts in that span. The infielder matched his career high with his 36th homer of the season, and he's got a decent chance to set a new personal best with 11 contests left on the schedule. The infielder is slashing .271/.350/.340 with two homers, 18 RBI, 21 runs scored and four stolen bases through 163 plate appearances this season. He's gone 7-for-32 (.219) with two homers, seven RBI and four runs scored through nine games with Milwaukee since joining the big club Sept. 11. For the season, the veteran third baseman has a .159/.248/.442 slash line with 12 homers, 22 RBI, 17 runs scored and no stolen bases through 43 contests between the Brewers and Yankees.
