  • Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA

Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Tallies three hits in win

Peraza went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in a 4-3 victory versus the Tigers on Wednesday.

Peraza's double in the third inning plated the Yankees' third run and marked the third time in his past four games that he has driven in a run. The 23-year-old has a pair of three-hit performances over that four-game span, during which he's gone 7-for-15 with three doubles and three RBI. Even with the hot stretch, Peraza is still slashing a meager .180/.281/.220 over 114 plate appearances on the campaign.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Three hits in win

Urias went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the Angels.

Urias has logged multiple hits in four of his last five games, going 10-for-20 (.500) in that span. The infielder's playing time has dropped with the arrival of top prospects, but he's still doing fairly well when he gets the chance to play. For the season, Urias has a .266/.330/.384 slash line with four home runs, 39 RBI, 41 runs scored and three stolen bases over 97 contests. He'll continue to fill a utility role around the infield.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Could come off bench Wednesday

Walls (groin) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox but could be available off the bench, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 27-year-old indicated he's fully recovered from the groin issue that's sidelined him the past couple days, but he'll still be held out of the lineup for Wednesday's series finale. Walls is expected to rejoin the starting nine Thursday versus Seattle but could see more regular off days going forward in an attempt to manage the injury. Osleivis Basabe will receive another start at shortstop in his place.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Back in lineup Wednesday

Muncy (shoulder) is back in the lineup Wednesday at Miami.

Muncy will start at third base and bat cleanup for the visiting Dodgers after sitting out of Tuesday's series opener due to a minor left shoulder tweak. He's posted an .816 OPS with 32 homers and 91 RBI across 114 games this season with the NL West leaders.

  • Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Pushed off 40-man roster

Kennedy was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

This move clears out a 40-man roster for catcher Seby Zavala, who has been claimed off waivers from the White Sox. Kennedy, 24, was slashing just .167/.310/.208 through 29 major-league plate appearances this season for Arizona.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Absent from lineup

Garcia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the White Sox.

Nick Loftin will man third base while Garcia receives a day off. Garcia is in the midst of a modest six-game hitting streak.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Not ready to ramp up activities yet

Chapman is still waiting for the swelling and inflammation in his right middle finger to go down before ramping up baseball activities, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Chapman is able to field grounders, but he's not clear to throw yet or swing a bat. He will be re-evaluated when the Blue Jays return home to Toronto on Friday. Presumably, the hope is that he will have made enough progress by then to ramp things up.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Continues power surge

LeMahieu went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers in a 5-1 win Tuesday.

LeMahieu led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo shot to give the Yankees an early lead. It was the continuation of a recent power surge that has seen the veteran infielder go deep seven times over his past 13 games. Prior to the hot streak, LeMahieu had gone 20 contests without a long ball and had hit just eight homers over the first 104 games of the campaign.

  • Jared Triolo 3B | PIT

Pirates' Jared Triolo: Back in big leagues

Triolo was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday.

He's taking the roster spot of the injured Andrew McCutchen (Achilles). Triolo has collected a .664 OPS with home run and three stolen bases over 137 plate appearances during his time with the big club this season. He could see a little action at designated hitter with McCutchen out.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Smacks sixth homer

Moncada went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run Tuesday against the Royals.

Moncada homered for the sixth time this season, half of which have come in his last 21 games. He's also chipped in 12 RBI while hitting .333 in that span, albeit with a 28.9 percent strikeout rate. Moncada has inched closer to being a league-average hitter this season, though his fantasy profile is still underwhelming as he has only one stolen base with 30 RBI and 26 runs scored across 284 plate appearances.
