  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Brewers' Brian Anderson: Finds power stroke in loss

Anderson went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.

Anderson opened the scoring for the Brewers in the fourth with a shot to right center and then tacked on another in the eighth. They were his fourth and fifth homers on the year, and his first time leaving the yard since his multi-homer game against the Mets on April 4. The 30-year-old got off to a blistering start to the year but has not maintained consistency so far. He's now raised his line back to .280/.364/.533 and has 18 RBI, 15 runs and a 11:24 BB:K over 88 plate appearances.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: On base thrice in win

Mirando went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Twins.

Miranda found himself on base in the second, third, fifth and eighth inning, although his last time getting on was due to a fielder's choice. He came across to put the Twins up 3-1 in the fifth after walking in the inning. The 24-year-old has begun to turn things around at the plate, tallying seven hits over his last five games after he had just 14 total over his first 17 games. Miranda has yet to leave the yard thus far, and hopefully his recent surge is a sign of better things to come.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Drives in four

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBI in Sunday's win over the Marlins.

Ramirez gave the Guardians the lead with a two-run blast in the third inning before driving in another two runs with a sacrifice fly and an RBI double. The switch-hitting third baseman is slashing .267/.350/.477 with three home runs, 16 RBI, 11 runs scored and four stolen bases through his first 100 plate appearances this season.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Returns to lineup

Machado (back) is playing third base and batting third in Sunday's contest against Arizona.

Machado was held out of the lineup Saturday due to a recent bout with back soreness, per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com, but the issue appears to be minor since he's back at the hot corner Sunday. Machado is off to a slow start this season, slashing .221/.253/.291 with one homer, seven RBI and a stolen base through 91 plate appearances.

  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Clutch hitting Saturday

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

The veteran slugger drove home Kolten Wong and J.P. Crawford with a two-out single in the seventh inning that snapped a 3-3 tie and wound up being the difference in the game. The timely knock pushed Suarez's RBI total to a team-leading 15, and he's now hitting .360 across 32 plate appearances with runners in scoring position this season.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Gets breather against Royals

Rendon is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Royals, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Rendon will take a seat after going 0-for-7 in the first two games of the series against Kansas City. Gio Urshela is at third base and hitting sixth in his place.

  • Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH

Tigers' Tyler Nevin: Late addition to lineup

Nevin is starting at third base and batting seventh Sunday against the Orioles.

The 25-year-old was originally absent from Sunday's lineup, but he was added to the starting nine after Javier Baez (finger) was scratched. Nevin has yet to find much success in his first five big-league games of the season, going 1-for-13 with an RBI and two walks.

  • Nick Madrigal 2B | LAA

Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Starting at third Sunday

Madrigal is starting at third base and batting ninth in Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

The Cubs are using Patrick Wisdom in left field with Ian Happ getting a breather, so Madrigal will take over at the hot corner. Wisdom remains the team's regular third baseman, but his ability to play in the outfield gives the club some flexibility and allows Madrigal to see regular playing time. The latter has earned it with a .324/.359/.432 slash line across 37 at-bats so far.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Not starting Sunday

Senzel is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh.

Senzel is 5-for-33 through 36 plate appearances and will head to the bench after making three straight starts. Stuart Fairchild, TJ Friedl and Jake Fraley will start from left to right in the outfield Sunday.

  • Drew Maggi 3B | PIT

Pirates' Drew Maggi: Contract selected from Double-A

The Pirates selected Maggi's contract from Double-A Altoona on Sunday.

Maggi will take the place of Bryan Reynolds on the 26-man roster with Reynolds placed on the bereavement list. The 33-year-old will have a chance to make his MLB debut if he gets into a game with Pittsburgh after spending 13 seasons in the minors with four different organizations.
