  • Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA

Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Tallies three hits Friday

Madrigal went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Brewers.

Madrigal gave the Cubs a spark as their leadoff hitter. The second baseman is now batting .250 this season, though he's upped that to .325 across 12 games this month, which has been his first action since June due to a groin injury. If Madrigal stays healthy, he could be primed for a good finish to the year as Chicago's primary option at the keystone and a regular leadoff hitter.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Goes deep in win

Wisdom went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 8-7 win over the Brewers.

Wisdom connected in the fifth inning for his 22nd home run of the season. That total leads the Cubs, and the infielder is also pacing the team with 57 RBI. Wisdom had a breakout 2021 campaign with a career-high 28 long balls and 61 RBI, and he's now within distance of surpassing both figures if he has a strong finish this season.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Launches three-run blast

Riley went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's victory over Houston.

Riley's three-run shot in the third inning scored Ronald Acuna and Dansby Swanson. It was Riley's 31st home run of the year, tying him with Yordan Alvarez for third-most in baseball. The third baseman has back-to-back two-hit games and despite batting just .239 for the month, has a .291 batting average on the season.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

    Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Two-homer night

Suarez went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in a 10-2 win over the Athletics on Friday.

Suarez is a perennial 30-homer hitter and he is making a push to reach that mark once again in 2022. He blasted two long balls off Cole Irvin as part of a five-RBI night to give him 22 homers and 68 RBI on the season. Suarez now has six home runs in August and is slashing .190/.324/.534 through 17 games this month.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Belts 13th home run

Miranda went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 2-1 win over the Rangers on Friday.

Miranda followed up a solo home run by Luis Arraez with one of his own for back-to-back first-inning blasts, which gave the Twins all of the offense they needed for the win. The 24-year-old rookie struggled initially in May but he has been remarkably consistent since June. Miranda is finding himself slotted into the cleanup spot as of late and is slashing an excellent .317/.377/.492 in August. He appears to be breaking out and now has 13 homers and 52 RBI on the season despite only having played in 80 games. With a full season of playing time, he'd be on pace for a 100-RBI campaign, providing some power and run production with third-base eligibility.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Another big game

Newman went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Reds.

Newman extended his hitting streak to five games, three of which have been multi-hit efforts. He's hitting .500 in the span while also tallying nine runs scored. Newman is locked into a spot toward the top of the Pirates lineup and is currently maintaining a .281/.323/.378 line across 198 plate appearances for the season.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Lifts homer in Friday's win

Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Friday's 5-2 win over the White Sox.

Ramirez's power has largely been absent in August -- he has only two home runs and three doubles through 18 contests this month. He's started to pick up his run production pace again though, logging at least one RBI in six of his last eight games. The superstar third baseman has a .283/.354/.542 slash line with 23 homers, 99 RBI, 67 runs scored and 14 stolen bases through 115 contests this year.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Smacks homer in slugfest

Urias went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a hit by pitch in Friday's 15-10 win over the Red Sox.

Urias delivered his first homer in 10 games when he led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a solo shot. He's hit safely in eight games during that span, though he's produced just two multi-hit efforts while going 10-for-37 (.270). The third baseman is up to a .248/.290/.423 slash line with 13 homers, 44 RBI, 40 runs scored, one stolen base and 15 doubles through 88 contests this year.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Angels' Matt Duffy: Kicks off rehab assignment

Duffy (back) has gone 1-for-10 with three strikeouts over three games in a rehab stint with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Duffy kicked off the rehab assignment Tuesday and has thus far played one game each at first base, third base and DH. The veteran hasn't played in a big-league game since June 26, when he was pulled from a contest against Seattle with lower back tightness. Duffy isn't eligible to be activated until next weekend, so he'll likely continue logging at-bats with the Triple-A club in the meantime.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Mashes three doubles

Arenado went 4-for-5 with three doubles and two RBI in Friday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Arenado had been quiet over the last week, going 4-for-28 -- albeit with two home runs and a double -- in his last seven contests. He matched the hit total from that stretch with an impressive effort Friday. This was his third four-hit game of the season, lifting his slash line to .299/.363/.560 with 25 homers, 77 RBI, 59 runs scored. two stolen bases and 32 doubles through 110 contests overall. The only full season in which Arenado has missed the 30-double mark is his rookie year in 2013.
