Adley Rutschman C | BAL
Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Hits homer in loss
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Monday's 7-1 loss to the Rays.
Rutschman hit his seventh home run of the season, his first in nine games, to account for the only Orioles run of the game. The pop from the 27-year-old's bat has been largely missing as of late; he has just four extra-base hits in his last 19 games. The catcher is slashing .233/.325/.384 in 235 at-bats, with his .708 OPS more closely resembling his .709 mark from 2024 than the first two seasons of his career in which he was over .800.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Orioles' Gary Sanchez: Smacks grand slam in win
Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and an additional run scored in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Angels.
Sanchez broke the game open, launching a grand slam off Connor Brogdon that extended Baltimore's lead to 9-2 with two outs in the seventh inning. The 32-year-old Sanchez has homered in back-to-back games following a nearly two-month stint on the IL. Overall, Sanchez has gone 6-for-37 (.162) with a .580 OPS across 43 plate appearances this year. While he'll primarily serve as Adley Rutschman's backup, Sanchez should see additional playing time at DH.

Jonah Heim C | ATL
Rangers' Jonah Heim: Not in Sunday's lineup

Heim will take a seat after starting the first two games of the series. Kyle Higashioka will step in to catch for Kumar Rocker.

Willie MacIver C | TEX
Athletics' Willie MacIver: Part of timeshare at catcher
MacIver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
The rookie got three straight starts after Shea Langeliers suffered an oblique strain earlier this month, but MacIver has since moved into a timeshare with Austin Wynns following the veteran's acquisition from the Reds. The two backstops have alternated starts over the Athletics' last six games.

Austin Wells C | NYY
Yankees' Austin Wells: Receiving Sunday off
Wells is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
It's likely just a standard rest day for Wells, who went 1-for-7 with an RBI while starting the first two games of the series. J.C. Escarra will step in behind the plate to catch for ace Max Fried in Sunday's finale.

Logan O'Hoppe C | LAA
Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Resting Sunday
O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
O'Hoppe will get a breather after he went 1-for-9 with three strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Travis d'Arnaud will get the starting nod at catcher.
