  • Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Multi-hit effort in loss

Langeliers went 2-for-4 with a run in a loss to the Tigers on Sunday.

Despite the disappointing team loss, Langeliers was a bright spot by keeping up his recent stretch of productive hitting. The 26-year-old generated his fourth two-hit effort in the last 10 games, a stretch where he's produced a .268 average and .780 OPS while striking out at an acceptable 19.5 percent clip across 41 plate appearances. Langeliers is up to a .223 average on the season, close to a high point for him after the first month of the campaign.

  • Yainer Diaz C | HOU

Astros' Yainer Diaz: Three hits Sunday

Diaz went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Diaz posted his first three-hit game since Aug. 7 and his eighth multi-hit game since Aug. 17. He's got nine RBI over his last eight games and leads all catchers with 153 hits and a .299 average for the year. Overall, he's slashing .299/.325/.451 with 16 homers, 81 RBI, 63 runs, two steals and a 22:91 BB:K in 544 plate appearances.

  • Connor Wong C | BOS

Red Sox's Connor Wong: Three hits, home run in loss

Wong went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's loss to the White Sox.

Wong took Chris Flexen deep in the second inning for this 13th home run of the season before adding a double and a single to record his first three-hit game since Aug. 2. Wong has cooled off considerably after a hot start to the season, but he is still enjoying a career year, batting .286 with 13 home runs, 48 RBI, 51 runs scored and six stolen bases in 110 games.

  • Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Not in Sunday's lineup

O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Texas, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

O'Hoppe has a .089/.128/.222 slash line and 48.9 percent strikeout rate over the past 13 games, and he'll receive a day to reset Sunday. Matt Thaiss will catch for right-hander Caden Dana in the series finale.

  • Jonah Heim C | ATL

Rangers' Jonah Heim: Receiving Sunday off

Heim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Heim is mired in an 0-for-18 slump and will sit Sunday for the second time in Texas' past three games. Carson Kelly will step in behind the plate to catch for lefty Andrew Heaney.

  • Ryan Jeffers C | MIN

Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Starting again Sunday

Jeffers will serve as the Twins' designated hitter and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Royals.

With Carlos Santana (illness) sitting out, Jeffers will be included in the lineup for the fifth time in six games. Jeffers has made three starts at catcher and two at DH during that stretch, but he'll likely fall back into more of a timeshare behind the plate with Christian Vazquez and see his opportunities at DH diminish once Santana is healthy again.

  • Korey Lee C | CHW

White Sox's Korey Lee: Back in lineup Sunday

Lee (back) will start behind home plate and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Lee will return from a two-game absence after he was scratched from Friday's lineup due to back tightness. Lee will do the catching for starting pitcher Chris Flexen in the series finale.

  • Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Ends slump Saturday

Dingler went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Athletics.

Dingler came into the contest having gone 0-for-19 over his previous six games. The young catcher snapped that streak, though he's still batting just .141 for the season with a 33 percent strikeout rate. Until Dingler can become more consistent at the plate, his fantasy ceiling will remain capped.

  • Kyle McCann C | COL

Athletics' Kyle McCann: Records timely knock Saturday

McCann went 1-for-2 with an RBI single in a loss to the Tigers on Saturday.

McCann drew one of his infrequent starts behind the plate and drove home the Athletics' only run with a fifth-inning single that plated Zack Gelof. The rookie had last accounted for an RBI on July 28, and he's sporting a .248 average and .705 OPS over his modest 140 plate appearances this season.

  • Bo Naylor C | CLE

Guardians' Bo Naylor: Sitting down Saturday

Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup for Saturday's game versus the Dodgers.

After going 0-for-5 across his last two games, Naylor will take a seat Saturday while Austin Hedges catches for Gavin Williams and bats ninth.
