  • Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Swats 11th homer

Kirk went 1-for-2 with two walks, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Monday's win over the Twins.

The backstop took Joe Ryan deep to cap a four-run first inning for the Blue Jays, en route to a 10-4 romp. Kirk has found his power stroke in August, homering four times in his last eight games with 11 RBI. With a month left to go in the season, the 26-year-old has 11 home runs and 59 RBI, as he closes in on new career highs in both categories -- he launched 14 long balls with 63 RBI in 2022.

  • Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Snaps homer drought Monday

O'Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a 4-0 victory versus Texas.

O'Hoppe produced the final run of the contest with a solo shot to center field in the ninth inning. The long ball was his first since July 21, a span of 20 games. Despite the long drought, O'Hoppe still ranks fifth among MLB backstops with 19 home runs on the season, though he also has the second-most strikeouts (123) of any player at the position.

  • Korey Lee C | CHW

White Sox's Korey Lee: Knocks first homer

Lee went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Monday in a 7-0 win over the Royals.

Lee was called up from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, but he didn't get into any games over the weekend. However, the backstop was given a chance to start behind the plate Monday and made the most of the opportunity, crushing a two-run homer to left field in the fourth inning. The long ball was his first of the year in his 15th contest after he went deep 12 times over 125 games last season. Lee has hit pretty well with a .290/.353/.484 slash line during his limited time in the majors this season, but he doesn't figure to get much playing time with both Kyle Teel and Edgar Quero ahead of him on the catcher depth chart.

  • Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Hits go-ahead grand slam

Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

Langeliers took a tiring Tarik Skubal deep in the seventh inning to put the Athletics ahead for good. Over his last 14 games, Langeliers has launched seven homers and added 16 RBI while batting .226 (14-for-62). The catcher is up to 29 homers, 65 RBI, 58 runs scored, 22 doubles, five stolen bases and a .262/.308/.544 slash line through 100 contests this season, and he serves as the Athletics' leadoff hitter against southpaws.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Reaches 50-homer mark

Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 9-6 win over the Padres.

Raleigh is the first player to 50 home runs this season, and he's five ahead of Shohei Ohtani and Kyle Schwarber for the MLB lead through Monday's action. He also became the second switch hitter in MLB history to reach the 50-homer threshold, joining Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle in the exclusive club. With eight long balls over his last 16 games, Raleigh is on another one of the power surges that have propelled him into MVP contention. He's also supplied 107 RBI, 86 runs scored, 19 doubles and 14 stolen bases while batting .247 with a .949 OPS through 129 contests. With 30 games left on the schedule and the Mariners in the thick of the playoff race, Raleigh will likely continue to see enough playing time to give him a shot at the 60-home run mark.

  • Rangers' Kyle Higashioka: Picking up rest Monday

Higashioka is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.

After starting at catcher or designated hitter in each of the previous three games, Higashioka looks to be receiving a breather Monday. Jonah Heim will fill in for him behind the plate in the series opener.

  • Kyle Teel C | CHW

White Sox's Kyle Teel: Receiving night off

Teel is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

The White Sox had deployed the left-handed-hitting Teel in the starting nine at either catcher or designated hitter in each of the last eight contests, but he'll get a breather Monday while the Royals send lefty Noah Cameron to the hill for the series opener. With Teel on the bench, Korey Lee will pick up a start behind the plate, and Edgar Quero will serve as Chicago's DH.

  • Red Sox's Carlos Narvaez: Idle for series opener

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Narvaez started behind the plate in the final two games of the Red Sox's weekend series versus the Yankees, so he's likely just getting a breather Monday. Connor Wong will spell Narvaez at catcher in the series opener versus Washington.

  • Austin Wells C | NYY

Yankees' Austin Wells: Resting for series opener

Wells is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Wells will rest Monday after he caught the final three games of the Yankees' weekend series against the Red Sox and went a collective 1-for-9 at the plate. Ben Rice will handle catching duties in Wells' stead as the Yankees kick off a three-game set versus Washington.

  • Edgar Quero C | CHW

White Sox's Edgar Quero: Knocks in three

Quero went 2-for-4 with three RBI on Sunday against the Twins.

Quero has started every other game across the last 10 days, forming an impressive duo with Kyle Teel behind the plate. The sporadic playing time makes it difficult to count on Quero for fantasy production, but he has delivered when in the lineup. In 14 games during August, he has gone 15-for-49 with one homer, eight RBI and four runs scored.
