  • Bo Naylor C | CLE

Guardians' Bo Naylor: Homers, drives in winning run

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a walk in Wednesday's come-from-behind win over the White Sox.

Naylor's two-run shot off Erick Fedde in the bottom of the fourth brought the Guardians back to within two runs of Chicago and came just three at-bats after his older brother Josh's solo home run -- on National Siblings Day. The young catcher then played the role of hero in extra innings, driving home Tyler Freeman with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th as Cleveland improved to 9-3 on the season. Naylor is still batting just .194 following the two-hit performance, though he's now homered in two of his last six games. It also marked his third multi-hit game this month.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Homers in extras

Raleigh went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Wednesday's 5-1 win over Toronto.

Raleigh provided the game-deciding blow Wednesday, launching a two-run homer off Tim Mayza in the 10th inning in an eventual 5-1 Seattle win. It's the second homer in three days for Raleigh, though he's gotten off to a slow start overall, going 6-for-36 with four RBI through his first 10 games.

  • Red Sox's Reese McGuire: Sits against lefty

McGuire is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

The lefty-hitting McGuire will give way to the righty-hitting Connor Wong behind the plate while southpaw Cole Irvin takes the hill for Baltimore. McGuire still appears to have a firm grasp on the primary catching gig when the Red Sox face right-handed pitching; he's slashing .350/.435/.550 over 23 plate appearances versus righties so far this season.

  • Austin Wells C | NYY

Yankees' Austin Wells: Gets Wednesday off

Wells is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Wells will be on the bench for the second time in the series with Miami, with both of his absences from the lineup coming against left-handed starting pitchers. Jose Trevino will handle the catching duties for the Yankees on Wednesday.

  • White Sox's Martin Maldonado: On bench Wednesday

Maldonado is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Maldonado will retreat to the bench for the series finale after catching in four of Chicago's last five games. Korey Lee will step in behind the plate in Maldonado's stead and will bat sixth.

  • Rene Pinto C | PHI

    Rays' Rene Pinto: Resting Wednesday

Pinto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Pinto will take a seat for the series finale after he was behind the dish for the first two games in Anaheim, going 2-for-7 with three strikeouts. Ben Rortvedt will start at catcher Wednesday.

  • Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Not in lineup

O'Hoppe isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rays, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The Angels and Rays are playing a day game after a night game, so O'Hoppe will receive a day of rest. Matt Thaiss will step in as the Angels' starting catcher in the series finale.

  • Danny Jansen C | TEX

Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Beginning rehab assignment

Jansen (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Jansen will serve as Buffalo's designated hitter Wednesday and, if that goes well, he will catch for them Friday. It's been reported that Jansen is targeting a late-April return, so it would seem he will be with Buffalo for a little while before being activated. He's been out since mid-March with a small fracture in his right wrist.

  • Ryan Jeffers C | MIN

Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Sitting out afternoon game

Jeffers is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

The Twins and Dodgers are playing a day game after a night game, providing an opportunity for Jeffers to get a breather. Christian Vazquez will handle catching duties for Minnesota in the series finale.

  • Jonah Heim C | ATL

Rangers' Jonah Heim: Goes deep Tuesday

Heim went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

Heim took Alex Wood deep in the second inning for his first home run of the year. It also happened to be the first home run the Rangers had hit against a lefty this season. Heim has had a sluggish start so far, hitting .237/.237/.368 with just three extra-base hits and five RBI in 38 plate appearances.
