Rogers isn't in the Tigers' lineup Saturday versus the Giants.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Drives in two Friday

Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the Mets on Friday.

Raleigh provided the final runs of the night via his eighth-inning knock, which plated Leo Rivas and Victor Robles. The slugging backstop crossed the 70-RBI threshold for the second consecutive season in the process, and he's now knocked in multiple runs on six occasions in the last calendar month. Raleigh also extended his on-base streak to eight games with his single, and he's reached safely in 15 of the last 16 contests overall.

Yankees' Jose Trevino: Beginning assignment Sunday

Trevino (quadricep) will begin a rehab assignment Sunday at Double-A Somerset, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Trevino has been on the injured list for four weeks after suffering a Grade 2 strain of his left quad, but he has officially been given the green light to play in minor-league games. The Yankees haven't specified how long they plan on keeping the 31-year-old in the minors, though a mid-to-late-August return seems likely.

On the year, the 25-year-old is hitting .301 with 11 home runs, 61 RBI and 48 runs scored across 429 plate appearances.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.

  • Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Taking seat Friday

Rutschman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

It's a routine day off for Rutschman, who was recently demoted from second to fifth in the Orioles' batting order. He's slashed just .162/.276/.263 since the beginning of July. James McCann will do the catching for Zach Eflin.
