Murphy went 1-for-2 with two walks and three runs in a win over the Astros on Friday.

The hot-hitting catcher pushed his average and on-base percentage to .500 and .636, respectively, with his highly active day at the plate and on the basepaths. The sample size of 11 plate appearances on the season for Murphy is miniscule, but it's nevertheless encouraging to see the veteran backstop hit safely in each of his first three games after producing a disappointing .202/.304/.350 slash line across 97 games a season ago.

Higashioka is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.

Higashioka started five of the first six games behind the plate but has now been on the bench for two of the last three. Jose Trevino will start in his absence.

Garver isn't starting Saturday's game against the Angels.

Garver was in the lineup for the last five games and went 4-for-19 with two runs, an RBI, four walks and six strikeouts. Jonah Heim will take over behind the plate and bat sixth.

Barnhart went 1-for-7 with a walk and four strikeouts while serving as a starter in each of the last three games. However, Dustin Garneau will start behind the dish and bat eighth against left-hander Kris Bubic on Saturday.

McGuire is starting Saturday's game against the Rays, Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

The 27-year-old was traded from the Blue Jays to the White Sox prior to the regular season, and he's had sporadic playing time while playing behind Yasmani Grandal. McGuire has gone 2-for-9 with a run, a walk and three strikeouts in three appearances this year, and he'll start behind the dish Saturday while Grandal serves as the designated hitter.

Sanchez isn't starting Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Sanchez has started in six of the first seven games of the year and has hit .227 with a homer, a double and seven RBI. Luis Arraez will serve as the designated hitter while Gio Urshela takes over at third base.

Stassi isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Texas.

Stassi started in each of the last three games and went 3-for-10 with a homer, three runs, three RBI and three walks. Kurt Suzuki will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Raleigh isn't starting Friday's game against the Astros.

The Mariners have had a three-way timeshare behind the dish early in the season, and Raleigh will be on the bench for the third time in the last four games. Tom Murphy will start at catcher and bat ninth.

Kirk is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics.

Kirk has started the past four games (three at catcher, one at designated hitter) and will receive a breather for Friday's series opener. He has two multi-hit games this season but is 0-for-13 in the other four games. Zack Collins will work behind the plate in Kirk's place.
