  • Yan Gomes C | CHC

Athletics' Yan Gomes: Blasts 14th homer

Gomes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, walk and two strikeouts in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Angels.

Gomes opened the game's scoring with a solo home run to center off Shohei Ohtani in the third inning and later walked in the ninth. The long ball was Gomes' second of the week, though the backstop is slashing a poor .182/.250/.341 in 14 games this month.

  • Eric Haase C | SF

Tigers' Eric Haase: Homers in win Sunday

Haase went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Rays.

Haase and Dustin Garneau popped solo home runs, which was enough for the Tigers in the 2-0 win. Haase now has 22 home runs this season, which has helped offset his .231 batting average. The 28-year-old is batting just .182 this month, but his ability to leave the yard gives him some fantasy appeal down the stretch, especially from the catcher position.

  • Indians' Roberto Perez: Clubs seventh homer

Perez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an RBI single in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Yankees.

The catcher had gone just 1-for-5 in his first games back from a shoulder injury before Sunday's multi-hit effort. Perez lifted his slash line to .150/.255/.342 with seven homers, 17 RBI, 11 runs scored and a stolen base in 37 contests this year. He'll likely continue to share catching duties with Austin Hedges for the last two weeks of the season.

  • White Sox's Yasmani Grandal: Homers again Sunday

Grandal went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Rangers.

Grandal took Jordan Lyles deep to lead off the fourth inning, sparking a five-run inning. He has homered in back-to-back games and he has eight in his last 18 games. The catcher is slashing .235/.414/.531 with 22 long balls, 56 RBI and 59 runs scored in 325 plate appearances.

  • Ben Rortvedt C | NYM

Twins' Ben Rortvedt: Swats third homer

Rortvedt went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 loss to Toronto.

The catcher cut the deficit to two runs with his seventh-inning blast, but that was as close as it got. Rortvedt has gone 5-for-17 across eight games (six starts) in September, although Sunday's homer was his first extra-base hit of the month. He's slashing a meager .169/.229/.281 with three homers, seven RBI and eight runs scored across 98 plate appearances this year.

  • Jonah Heim C | ATL

Rangers' Jonah Heim: Out of Sunday's lineup

Heim is not in the lineup Sunday against the White Sox.

Heim is hitting .120 through seven games in September and will sit for the second time in the past three games. Jose Trevino will start behind the plate for the Rangers.

  • Tom Murphy C | SF

Mariners' Tom Murphy: Out of Sunday's lineup

Murphy is not in the lineup Sunday against the Royals.

Murphy went 0-for-2 during Saturday's contest and will take a seat for the second time in the past three games. Cal Raleigh will work behind the plate for Seattle.

  • Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Sitting third straight game

Kirk is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Kirk has a .983 OPS through 12 games in September but finds himself on the bench for the third consecutive contest. Danny Jansen starts Sunday and also worked behind the plate Friday, while Reese McGuire received the nod for Saturday's game.

  • Eric Haase C | SF

Tigers' Eric Haase: Slides to left field Sunday

Haase is starting in left field and batting sixth in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Haase started at catcher Friday before getting a day off Saturday, and he'll now slide over to left field with Dustin Garneau picking up the start behind the plate. Haase has struggled this month with a .171/.239/.317 slash line, though he does have 21 home runs this season and could still provide some power for fantasy managers down the stretch.

  • Gary Sanchez C | MIL

Yankees' Gary Sanchez: On bench Sunday

Sanchez is not in the lineup Sunday against Cleveland.

Sanchez went 2-for-4 during Saturday's game but will take a seat Sunday for the second time in the past three contests. Kyle Higashioka will start behind the plate in his place.
