Omar Narvaez C | HOU
White Sox's Omar Narvaez: Homers in loss
Narvaez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to Cleveland.
Narvaez belted his career-high eighth homer in the sixth inning off two-time Cy Young winner Corey Kluber. He'd hit well over the summer as the primary catcher; however, since Welington Castillo returned from a PED suspension, Narvaez has not been getting consistent at-bats. His start Tuesday was the ninth in the last 18 games, and he's hit just .179 (5-for-28) during that stretch.

Royals' Salvador Perez: Thumb remains bothersome
Perez was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Pirates due to lingering soreness in his left thumb, Rustin Dodd of The Athletic reports.
Perez missed seven games at the start of September with a thumb sprain, but had started five of the last six games. Hopefully he'll be able to return to the lineup for Wednesday's series finale at Pittsburgh.

Astros' Martin Maldonado: Gets breather Tuesday
Maldonado is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Maldonado will grab what appears to be a routine breather after starting the previous two games, going 3-for-6 with an RBI in those appearances. Brian McCann will set up behind the dish and hit eighth in this one.

Sandy Leon C | ATL
Red Sox's Sandy Leon: Back on bench Tuesday
Leon remains on the bench Tuesday against the Yankees, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
After a stretch in which Leon started three straight games, he's now sat for four of five. Christian Vazquez will again get the start behind the plate.

Mitch Garver DH | SEA
Twins' Mitch Garver: Remains out Tuesday
Garver (concussion) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Garver has been sidelined since Sept. 12 with a concussion after taking a foul ball off his mask. The backstop is apparently still dealing with some concussion symptoms, leaving his possible return date murky. Chris Gimenez is starting behind the dish in his place Tuesday.

Mitch Garver DH | SEA
Twins' Mitch Garver: Out with concussion
Garver has missed five straight games with a concussion, La Velle E. Neal III of the Star Tribune reports.
He left Wednesday's game after taking a foul ball off his mask and concussion symptoms surfaced over the weekend. It is unclear if or when Garver will be able to return this season. In the meantime, Willians Astudillo and Chris Gimenez will split time behind the dish.

Danny Jansen C | TEX
Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Delivers second homer
Jansen went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Monday's win over the Orioles.
Jansen pushed Toronto's lead to three in the second inning following a two-run blast to left field. The 23-year-old has appeared in just 23 games at the big-league level in 2018, and he's slashing .254/.346/.433 with eight extra-base hits and five RBI. Jansen could see a fair amount of playing time down the stretch, with the Blue Jays out of playoff contention.
