  • Joey Bart C | PIT

Giants' Joey Bart: Not in lineup Tuesday

Bart is not in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the Dodgers.

Bart logged a full game at catcher in his return Monday from a back injury, but he'll give way to Blake Sabol in Tuesday's tilt. Those two figure to share time behind the dish moving forward in the wake of Roberto Perez's right rotator cuff strain.

  • Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Feeling better Tuesday

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Tuesday that d'Arnaud (concussion) is "feeling better," Grant McAuley of 929 The Game reports.

D'Arnaud was placed on the 7-day injured list Sunday after suffering a concussion Saturday on a collision at home plate. There's still no timetable for his return, but he's at least making some semblance of progress. The 34-year-old had gotten off to a solid 11-for-33 (.333) start this season while playing nearly every day between designated hitter and catcher.

  • Austin Nola C | COL

Padres' Austin Nola: Sitting out Tuesday

Nola is out of the lineup Tuesday night against the Mets.

Luis Campusano will catch and bat seventh versus the Mets and left-handed starter David Peterson. Nola has slashed just .115/.207/.115 through 29 plate appearances this season.

  • Mets' Francisco Alvarez: Starting at catcher Tuesday

Alvarez is starting at catcher and batting ninth Tuesday against the Padres.

Mark Canha is at designated hitter and Tomas Nido is on the bench. Alvarez drew his first major-league start of the season Sunday versus the Marlins and went 1-for-4 with an RBI single. The 21-year-old top prospect had slugged two home runs in four games at Triple-A Syracuse prior to his promotion Friday.

  • Marlins' Jacob Stallings: Out of lineup Tuesday

Stallings is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies.

Stallings did return to action Monday after missing four games because of a back injury, but he'll rest up Tuesday with Nick Fortes handling catching duties and batting eighth for Miami.

  • Sean Murphy C | ATL

Braves' Sean Murphy: At cleanup again Tuesday

Murphy is back in the cleanup spot Tuesday against the Reds.

Murphy hit cleanup Monday and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th inning. He looks to be finding his groove offensively with the defending NL East champions.

  • Sean Murphy C | ATL

Braves' Sean Murphy: Belts walkoff homer

Murphy went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI in Monday's extra-inning win over the Reds.

Murphy knocked a pair of doubles, including one in the sixth frame that broke a scoreless tie. He then walked it off with a 408-foot shot in the 10th inning. The 28-year-old had just three hits through seven appearances entering Monday, but his slash line jumped to .240/.424/.480 after the big game.

  • Tomas Nido C | DET

Mets' Tomas Nido: Playing ahead of Alvarez

Nido will start at catcher and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Padres.

Though the Mets called up top prospect Francisco Alvarez from Triple-A Syracuse over the weekend, Nido still looks poised to serve as the team's top option at catcher while Omar Narvaez (calf) is on the shelf. While he brings far less offensive upside to the table than Alvarez, Nido's pitch-framing and game-calling skills are valued by the organization. Nido will be making his third start in four contests Monday.

  • Nick Fortes C | TB

Marlins' Nick Fortes: Heads back to bench

Fortes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

With Jacob Stallings (back) returning to action following a four-game absence, Fortes will reprise his usual bench role. Though he started in all four games while Stallings was sidelined, Fortes couldn't take advantage of the opportunity. He went 0-for-14 with seven strikeouts while Stallings was out and is now slashing .143/.182/.286 through his first 22 plate appearances of the season.

  • Marlins' Jacob Stallings: Good to go Monday

Stallings (back) will start at catcher and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Phillies.

He'll check back in behind the dish after he was sidelined for the Marlins' previous four contests due to a back issue. Thanks to his defensive acumen, Stallings still appears to be the Marlins' nominal No. 1 catcher, though Nick Fortes should play more frequently than most backup backstops.
