Ruiz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game agains the Cardinals.

Riley Adams checks in behind the plate while Ruiz gets a well-deserved rest after catching each of the past five games. Ruiz produced six hits and two walks over the first four of those starts before an 0-for-4 showing in Tuesday's 4-1 loss.

McGuire isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Rays, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

McGuire went 1-for-2 with a run and a walk Tuesday against Tampa Bay but will head to the bench for the third time in the last four games. Connor Wong is starting at catcher and batting ninth.

Bart isn't starting Wednesday against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Bart returned to the lineup Tuesday and went 1-for-3 with two strikeouts. He'll head to the bench a day later while Austin Wynns starts behind the dish and bats eighth.

Contreras isn't starting Wednesday against the Athletics.

Contreras went 0-for-2 with a run, an RBI, two walks and a strikeout Tuesday but will head to the bench for the fourth time in the last six games. Ronald Acuna is serving as the designated hitter and leading off.

Stassi isn't starting Wednesday against the Tigers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Stassi started the last two games and went 1-for-6 with an RBI. Matt Thaiss will take over behind the dish and bat eighth Wednesday.

Grandal is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Grandal will get a breather after he caught in six of the White Sox's seven games since he returned from the injured list a week ago. Seby Zavala will check in behind the dish for Grandal.

Murphy went 1-for-4 with an RBI groundout, a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run in a loss to Atlanta on Tuesday.

The slugging backstop authored a multi-RBI effort for the second time in the last seven games, with his third-inning blast cutting a four-run deficit in half at the time. Murphy's productive night pushed him to new career highs in home runs (18) and RBI (62).

Smith isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Giants, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Smith went 0-for-4 during Tuesday's win over San Francisco and will head to the bench for the second time in the last three games. Austin Barnes is taking over behind the dish and batting ninth.

Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Guardians.

Perez had one of the Royals' four hits in the contest and the only one that went for extra bases against Cleveland ace Shane Bieber. Over his last eight games, Perez has gone 9-for-29 (.310) with three homers, seven RBI, four runs scored and two doubles. The catcher is up to a .236/.276/.456 slash line with 65 RBI, 40 runs scored, 18 doubles and 20 homers, with the latter figure marking the sixth time in his 11-year career he's reached that milestone.

Raleigh isn't starting Wednesday against the White Sox, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Raleigh has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the last week, posting a 1.430 OPS with five home runs, a double, 11 RBI and eight runs over his last seven games. However, he'll get a breather while Curt Casali starts behind the dish and bats eighth.
