Jacob Stallings C | BAL
Marlins' Jacob Stallings: Remains on bench
Stallings will sit for the second straight game Sunday against the Astros.
Stallings has been on the bench for back-to-back games on just one previous occasion this season, though there haven't been reports that his absence Sunday is due to injury. Nick Fortes will get another start behind the plate, catching for Edward Cabrera.

Seby Zavala C | LAD
White Sox's Seby Zavala: Contract purchased from Triple-A
Zavala's contract was selected from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
Yasmani Grandal (hamstring) has not been placed on the injured list, but he is also unavailable in the short term, so Zavala will serve as the backup catcher. Reese McGuire figures to get the bulk of the starts while Grandal is out.

Jose Trevino C | CIN
Yankees' Jose Trevino: Out with back tightness
Trevino is out with back tightness Sunday, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.
He was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Cubs. Trevino apparently played through the issue Saturday and the team hopes to get him a couple days off as the Yankees have an off day Monday before starting a series against the Rays.

Tyler Heineman C | LAA
Pirates' Tyler Heineman: Not in Sunday's lineup
Heineman will sit Sunday against Atlanta.
Heineman, who owns a .486 OPS in 24 games this season, has now been on the bench for three of the last five games. It's not clear that he's meaningfully ahead of Sunday's starter Michael Perez on the catcher depth chart at the moment.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Twins' Gary Sanchez: Out of Sunday's lineup
Sanchez is not in Sunday's lineup against the Rays.
Sanchez is hitting .125 with one home run and nine strikeouts in nine games this month. Luis Arraez is in at designated hitter while Ryan Jeffers starts behind the dish.

Martin Maldonado C | SD
Astros' Martin Maldonado: Out of Sunday's lineup
Maldonado is not in Sunday's lineup against the Marlins.
Maldonado is hitting .259 with one home run and eight strikeouts in eight games this month. Jason Castro is starting behind the dish and hitting eighth.

Jose Trevino C | CIN
Yankees' Jose Trevino: Scratched from Sunday's lineup
Trevino was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Cubs.
This may just be a case of a catcher getting the day game off after Trevino started Saturday night's contest. Kyle Higashioka will start behind the dish and hit eighth.

Eric Haase C | SF
Tigers' Eric Haase: Productive day at the plate
Haase went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI triple and a run scored in Saturday's victory over Toronto.
Haase had arguably his best game of the season Saturday against the Jays, sending Javier Baez home on a triple and later scoring on a Victor Reyes single. It's been a disappointing season for the catcher, but he now has at least one hit in three of five June games and has raised his batting average to .186.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: On bench for second straight
D'Arnaud will sit for the second straight game Sunday against the Pirates.
D'Arnaud missed a pair of games early this season with forearm soreness, but he returned to start both Thursday and Friday before being on the bench for both weekend contests. It's possible his absence is due to a recurrence of the injury, but it's also possible it's simply a routine rotation of Atlanta's two backstops. William Contreras remains the starter behind the plate Sunday.
