Romo went 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Angels.

After the White Sox DFA'd Reese McGuire last weekend, Romo was the one to get the call while Kyle Teel continues to rehab his hamstring. After going 0-for-3 in his first start Sunday, Romo took Jose Soriano deep for a two-run shot in the fourth Tuesday and later added a solo homer in the sixth against Brent Suter. They were the first two homers of Romo's career in his 22nd big-league contest.

Dingler went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Atlanta.

The two-hit night snapped a 1-for-21 skid at the plate for Dingler, as he rapped his fifth double of the season in the eighth inning. The 27-year-old is slashing .253/.337/.483 with five home runs, 19 RBI, 11 runs scored and a 7:16 BB:K across 100 plate appearances. His peripheral numbers suggest he should be experiencing even more success at the plate, as Dingler is in the 92nd percentile or better in xwOBA, xBA, xSLG, barrel rate and hard-hit percentage. He's also been one of the best defensive catchers this season.

Del Castillo started at designated hitter and went 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in Tuesday's 11-2 loss to the Brewers.

Del Castillo, who was removed from the team's previous game Sunday due to a finger injury, only needed Monday's off day to get back in the lineup. He's hit a recent dry spell, going 1-for-16 over the last five contests, which dropped his average to .224 through 14 games.

Wells went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Rangers.

Wells launched a solo homer off Jalen Beeks in the seventh inning for his third long ball of the season and second in his last three games. After a rough start in which the catcher hit just .164 with two RBI over his first 21 contests, he has begun to find his rhythm, reaching base seven times over his last 12 plate appearances. Wells is now batting .200 on the year, but he has drawn 16 walks to just 15 strikeouts across 87 plate appearances.

Soderstrom was removed from Tuesday's game against the Royals with an apparent shoulder injury, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Soderstrom landed awkwardly on his right shoulder while trying to make a diving catch in the fifth inning and needed a minute to regroup afterward. The A's made the call to pull him in the sixth and will presumably send him in for testing to determine the severity of his injury. Colby Thomas and Carlos Cortes stand to benefit from extra playing time if Soderstrom has to miss any time.

Hicks was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers due to an illness, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Hicks is slashing .340/.353/.574 with 14 RBI and seven runs scored across his last 51 plate appearances, but an illness will prevent him from facing the Dodgers on Tuesday. Agustin Ramirez will move behind the plate as a result, opening up the DH spot for Connor Norby.

Rushing is starting as the designated hitter and batting leadoff Tuesday versus the Marlins.

Not only is Tuesday's start Rushing's first in the leadoff role but also his first of the season in the top half of the order. This will be the 25-year-old's third career start as the designated hitter, as that role is typically reserved for Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani is not in the batting lineup Tuesday as he focuses on his start as the pitcher.

Jensen is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Jensen had started the last six games for the Royals since he last sat April 19. In that span, he went 8-for-23 with a double, a home run and four RBI. As he rests Tuesday, Salvador Perez will start behind the plate while Isaac Collins serves as the designated hitter.

Del Castillo (finger) is batting fifth as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Brewers.

The 26-year-old departed Sunday's contest due to a left ring finger dislocation, but he won't miss a start following Arizona's team day off Monday. Del Castillo will get another day off from catching since James McCann is forming a battery with Merrill Kelly on Tuesday.

Quero is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Angels.

Quero is absent from the lineup for the second time in a three-game span. He went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and a strikeout Monday. Drew Romo gets the start behind the plate Tuesday, batting eighth.
