Edgar Quero C | CHW
White Sox's Edgar Quero: Blasts second career home run
Quero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, and an additional run scored in Friday's 10-1 win over the Pirates.
The 22-year-old rookie got the White Sox on the board early, launching a 391-foot solo shot off Bailey Falter in the first inning for his second career MLB home run. He later added a double in the seventh, marking his third career multi-extra-base-hit game. Quero has found success at the plate recently, going 6-for-21 (.286) with two homers over his last seven contests while continuing to earn opportunities in the middle of Chicago's lineup

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Starts second half with three hits
Langeliers went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two RBI during Friday's 8-6 loss to the Guardians.
Langeliers entered the All-Star break with just one hit over his last six games, and the time off seemed to do wonders for him. The 27-year-old exploded out of the second-half gate with three hits, including his 13th home run, to help key an Athletics comeback that came up just short in the ninth inning. The catcher is now slashing .235/.292/.445 with 13 doubles, 13 home runs and 33 RBI on the season.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Moved to 60-day IL
Moreno (finger) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.
Moreno was hit by a wild pitch June 6, and after attempting to play through the injury, he was placed on the IL on June 19. It was revealed shortly after that he sustained a hairline fracture in his right index finger. The catcher hasn't been cleared to hit or throw. The move will keep him sidelined until at least mid-August. Jose Herrera and James McCann should handle most of the catching duties while Moreno is out.

Adley Rutschman C | BAL
Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Starting assignment soon
Rutschman (oblique) is expected to start a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Rutschman is approaching a rehab assignment -- likely the last step in his recovery from a strained left oblique. The catcher has been on the shelf since June 21, so he may require a longer stay in Norfolk. Rutschman posted a .691 OPS before the injury.

Hunter Goodman RF | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Sitting Friday
Goodman is not in Friday's lineup against the Twins.
Goodman will get the final game of the first half and the first game of the second half off, with his first All-Star appearance sandwiched in between. Austin Nola will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Keibert Ruiz C | WAS
Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Slowly resuming baseball activities
Nationals interim manager Miguel Cairo said Friday that Ruiz (concussion) has started participating in baseball activities, but the Nationals plan to ramp up his workload slowly, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Ruiz landed on the 7-day concussion injured list July 8, and Washington is taking a cautious approach with his return to the active roster. Ruiz doesn't have an official target date for his return and should be considered week-to-week as he continues to ramp up his baseball work.

Chadwick Tromp C | ATL
Orioles' Chadwick Tromp: Starting rehab assignment
Tromp (back) will begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Delmarva on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Tromp resumed baseball activities shortly before the All-Star break, and he's been cleared to see game action. The catcher has been idle since July 1 after sustaining a lower back strain. He could be back with the big club before the end of July.

James McCann C | ARI
Diamondbacks' James McCann: Taking reps at first base
McCann started taking reps at first base this week, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.
McCann was signed to the roster late in June and has played regularly since his arrival. His primary job remains that of catcher, but he's hit well in nine games (1.224 OPS) and could spell Josh Naylor when needed, giving McCann another route to playing time once Gabriel Moreno (finger) is healthy.

Adrian Del Castillo C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Adrian Del Castillo: Expected to join D-backs
Del Castillo had a locker set up for him in Arizona's clubhouse Thursday, signaling a potential call-up, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.
No official roster move has been made, but it looks like Del Castillo will join the Diamondbacks as soon as Friday. This will be his second stint in the majors after he debuted last season and posted a slash line of .313/.368/.525 over 25 games. The catcher, who has dealt with back and shoulder injuries this season, has a .945 OPS with four home runs and 19 RBI over 14 games for Triple-A Reno. Del Castillo is expected to serve as the designated hitter against right-handers while Pavin Smith (oblique) is on the mend.

Ronaldo Hernandez C | NYY
Red Sox's Ronaldo Hernandez: Signs with Boston
Hernandez signed a minor-league contract with the Red Sox on Thursday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Now short on minor-league catchers after sending Blake Sabol to the White Sox, Boston will bring in Hernandez to round out Triple-A Worcester's backstop unit. The 27-year-old was released by the Yankees on July 4 after slashing .221/.287/.351 across 87 plate appearances at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and barring a significant turnaround, he doesn't seem on track to make his MLB debut this year.
