    Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Idle Saturday

Ruiz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Padres.

Nationals' Keibert Ruiz: Swats fifth homer

  • Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Launches two-run homer

Dingler went yard in the third inning off Erick Fedde, Dingler's third in his last eight games. Dingler looks set to have a career-best season from a power perspective in 2026. He already has 11 homers with 34 RBI and a .787 OPS in 52 games this season, compared to the 13 homers, 57 RBI and .725 OPS he posted across 126 regular-season games in 2025.

Moreno has been swinging the bat well lately, going 16-for-43 (.372) over his last 11 contests. Goodman went 2-for-4 with a double, a three-run homer and one walk in Friday's 8-6 win over the Giants.

With the Rockies trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Goodman came up with two on and swatted a towering three-run homer to tie the game off Giants closer Caleb Kilian. It was Goodman's 13th homer of the season and second in his last three games after he snapped a nine-game drought without a long ball. Goodman doesn't hit for average, but he swings hard and hits the ball hard when he does make contact. He entered Friday in the first percentile in chase rate (44.2 percent) and second percentile in strikeout rate (35.2 percent).
