Nido is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Nido started behind the plate for both of the first two games of the series, going 1-for-7 with one RBI and two strikeouts. He'll cede catching duties Sunday to Luis Torrens, who will bat ninth and his first start of the season.

Higashioka went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday in a 7-3 victory versus the Royals.

Higashioka padded San Diego's lead in the ninth inning with a solo shot to left field. It was just his second homer this season after he belted exactly 10 long balls in each of the past three seasons while with the Yankees. Higashioka's playing time has fallen as a member of the Padres -- he has just 52 plate appearances so far this season. The backup catcher is slashing a paltry .157/.173/.314, though four of his eight hits have gone for extra bases.

Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Moreno will get some rest for the series finale after he started at catcher each of the past three days while going 2-for-12 with a double and two runs scored. Tucker Barnhart will step in behind the dish Sunday.

O'Hoppe is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Mariners, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

O'Hoppe will get a breather after he went 2-for-15 with two solo home runs and three runs scored while starting the last four contests. Matt Thaiss will draw the start at catcher and bat sixth against Seattle.

Campusano isn't in the Padres' lineup Saturday versus Kansas City.

Campusano is still ice cold at the plate and is now 0-for-19 across his last seven games. He'll give way to Kyle Higashioka on Saturday and may continue to lose playing time if his offensive struggles continue.

Ruiz isn't in the Nationals' lineup Saturday against the Guardians.

After going 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Friday's series opener, Ruiz will take a seat Saturday against Ben Lively and the Guardians. Riley Adams will fill in behind the dish and bat eighth.

Naylor is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Nationals.

Naylor will get another day off as the Guardians face left-hander Mitchell Parker on Saturday. Austin Hedges will replace him at catcher and bat eighth versus Washington.

Jansen will sit Saturday versus the Pirates.

Jansen will take a seat after he went 0-for-4 with two walks, a run scored and two strikeouts in Friday's 5-3 win. Alejandro Kirk will draw the start behind the plate and bat eighth against Pittsburgh.

Heim is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Marlins.

Heim will take a seat after he went 3-for-22 with a double, two RBI and a run scored while starting the team's last six contests. Andrew Knizner will take over behind the plate and bat ninth against Miami.

Kelly is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus Boston, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Kelly will get a breather after he went 2-for-7 with a triple and a run scored over the first two games of the series. Jake Rogers will draw the start at catcher and bat ninth against the Red Sox.
