Langeliers will hit the bench Saturday against the Padres.

Langeliers' 20 homers tie him for fourth among all catchers, but his .206/.268/.407 slash line is only good for a modest 85 wRC+ due to his inability to get on base. Carlos Perez starts behind the plate Saturday, catching for Mason Miller.

Bailey will hit the bench for the first portion of Saturday's doubleheader against Colorado, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Blake Sabol will start behind the plate in the afternoon contest, but Bailey should return to the lineup for the nightcap. Bailey hit .329/.356/.571 in his first 20 MLB games this season, but he's since hit a modest .223/.289/.327 across 66 contests.

Huff went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Friday's 12-3 loss to the Guardians.

Huff entered the blowout loss late and homered as part of the Rangers' three-run ninth inning. He's made just five plate appearances since being recalled for the month of September. Both of his hits during this latest stint in the majors have been home runs.

Rogers went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and three runs scored in Friday's win against the Angels.

Rogers' 17th homer of the year was a solo shot in the sixth inning Friday. It was his first extra-base hit since he homered against the Yankees on Aug. 30. Over his last 17 appearances, Rogers owns a .720 OPS with three homers and nine runs scored. His season slash line is up to .216/.283/.422 with 28 extra-base hits.

Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-3 loss to the Padres.

Langeliers has homered four times over his last six games, a span in which he's gone 6-for-22 (.273). The power surge has helped him reach the 20-homer mark in his first full major-league season. The catcher has added 56 RBI, 48 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .206/.268/.407 slash line through 123 contests overall.

Moreno went 4-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 6-4 win over the Cubs.

Moreno's four-hit effort snapped a stretch of nine games without a multi-hit performance, during which he went 4-for-22 (.182). The catcher hit .327 in August, but he'd cooled off early in September. He has a .286/.333/.419 slash line with seven home runs, 43 RBI, 30 runs scored, five stolen bases and 17 doubles through 99 contests on the year.

Diaz is absent from the lineup Friday at Kansas City.

Martin Maldonado will start at catcher and Yordan Alvarez will serve as the Astros' designated hitter as Michael Brantley patrols left field. Diaz has posted a strong .847 OPS with 21 home runs in 95 major-league games this season, but he's largely been a part-time player over the last few weeks.

Wells is absent from the lineup Friday at Pittsburgh.

Ben Rortvedt will take a turn as the Yankees' catcher, with Wells and Kyle Higashioka both riding the pine. Wells, 24, has slashed just .103/.156/.138 with nine strikeouts through his first 33 plate appearances at the major-league level.

Wong is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Reese McGuire will do the catching for Brayan Bello in this one. Wong went 0-for-7 with four strikeouts during the Red Sox' last series versus the Yankees.

Alvarez isn't in the Mets' lineup Friday against Cincinnati, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Alvarez will get a day off Friday despite collecting a hit in each of his last three games -- including a home run Tuesday. Omar Narvaez will start behind the plate and bat ninth while Alvarez sits.
