Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Exits game late
Jimenez exited the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Yankees with an apparent leg injury, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Jimenez was running out a groundball in the ninth inning and grimaced upon reaching first base. Because it was so late in the game, the White Sox were unlikely to take any chances. He is considered day-to-day.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Suffering from oblique discomfort
Alvarez exited Thursday's game against the Blue Jays with right oblique discomfort, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Alvarez was pulled from the game in the third inning after one plate appearance. He was serving as the designated hitter, so the issue presumably occurred during his lone plate appearance of the game. Corey Julks entered the game in his place.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Makes early exit
Alvarez left Thursday's game against Toronto in the third inning, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
It's unknown why Alvarez came out of the game, but the Astros should provide an update in the near future. Alvarez grounded out in his lone plate appearance, so it's possible he tweaked something on the way to first base. Corey Julks will fill in for Alvarez the rest of the way Thursday.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Sitting second game
Stanton is not in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
Stanton went 0-for-3 with a walk in the first game of the doubleheader while serving as the designated hitter. Willie Calhoun will take over those duties, while Isiah Kiner-Falefa will enter the lineup to play center field and hit sixth.

Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Astros' Michael Brantley: Goes through full workout
Brantley (shoulder) hit in the cage, ran the bases and made throws Thursday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Brantley is checking all the boxes as he again pushes toward his 2023 debut. He was shut down in early May due to inflammation in his surgically-repaired right shoulder after going 6-for-24 (.250) in nine rehab games with Triple-A Sugar Land. The 36-year-old could soon begin a new minor-league rehab assignment if his side work continues to go smoothly.

Ohtani tried to manufacture a run in the fifth inning, but he was left on third base after a walk and two steals. He's knocked five extra-base hits, four RBI and four runs scored over his modest four-game hitting streak. Ohtani continues to be a reliable five-category producer at the plate, hitting .275 with 16 home runs, nine steals, 42 RBI and 37 runs scored through 61 games. He's added a .904 OPS, 11 doubles and three triples.

Rooker went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.
Rooker joined Jace Peterson in a late-game power outburst for the Athletics, blasting his 12th homer of the season on a 388-foot shot to left center in the eighth with Jonah Bride aboard. The 28-year-old hadn't left the yard since May 12, but he's now reached safely in five of the last six games.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Pops 16th homer
Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Cubs.
Ohtani has gone 10-for-27 (.370) with four homers and nine RBI over his last seven contests. The two-way star's blast in the fourth inning woke up the Angels' offense. He's posted a strong .276/.352/.552 slash line with 16 long balls, 42 RBI, 37 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 10 doubles and three triples through 60 games this season. He was back in the No. 2 spot Tuesday after a three-game stint at leadoff, but he's a good bet to have success from anywhere in the lineup.
