Brantley is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

After a 1-for-5 performance Monday, Brantley's hitting .231 with five RBI but no extra-base hits in his last 10 games. Aledmys Diaz is playing left field and batting second Tuesday.

Choi (hamstring) fielded groundballs on the field Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Choi has been out for a week with a left hamstring strain. While it's a positive that he's making progress, he isn't considered close to activation, which likely means he'll wind up missing more than the minimum 10 days.

Torrens is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Astros.

Torrens is in the midst of a strong seven-game stretch at the plate in which he's gone 8-for-25 with four doubles, seven RBI, four walks and one run scored. He'll get a breather Tuesday as Mitch Haniger shifts to DH.

Ohtani (hand) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's game 8-7 win over the Yankees.

Ohtani crushed his league-leading 42nd homer off former teammate Andrew Heaney in the fifth inning to put the Angels back in front, 6-5. The solo blast allowed Ohtani to hit the 90-RBI mark, good for sixth-most in baseball. The 26-year-old is now slashing .264/.362/.626 and has 86 runs scored, 20 steals and 67:159 BB:K over 516 plate appearances. The question now remains when he'll be able to make his next start as a pitcher after he was scratched from his scheduled turn through the rotation Tuesday while he manages a sore right wrist. While X-rays came back negative after he was struck by a pitch Saturday, the Angels surely won't take any risks with Ohtani in September if he's less than fully healthy. The injury doesn't look to be anything that would result in him being shut down as the Angels' everyday designated hitter, however.

Stanton went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Monday's 8-7 loss to the Angels.

Stanton has been on a power surge as of late with five home runs in his last seven games. His homer Monday was a two-run blast that traveled 457 feet to tie the game in the seventh inning. Stanton has hit safely in 21 of his last 25 games and is slashing .341/.417/.681 over that span. For the year, the 31-year-old has hit 25 home runs and is slashing .271/.366/.497 with 70 RBI, 52 runs scored and 57:124 BB:K over 459 plate appearances.

Solak went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 4-3 win over the Rockies.

Solak hit the third home run of the night for the Rangers, a two-run blast off German Marquez in the sixth inning. In eight games since being recalled Aug. 20, Solak is slashing .364/.400/.606 with two homers, seven RBI, six runs scored, a steal and 1:3 BB:K. The 26-year-old will continue to man the everyday role at second base, at least while the Rangers are dealing with some players out due to injury and COVID-19 protocol.

Lewis (knee) felt sore following a recent workout, so the Mariners put his rehab plans on hold for now, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Lewis was reportedly experiencing general soreness and not anything specifically related to his surgically-repaired knee, which is seemingly a positive sign. Still, the Mariners clearly want to be cautious with the 26-year-old outfielder, so the timing of his next steps remains unclear.

Ohtani won't pitch as scheduled Tuesday against the Yankees after being hit by a pitch on his right hand/wrist over the weekend, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. The 27-year-old will still bat second as the designated hitter Monday.

Ohtani appeared OK to pitch Tuesday since he was listed as the probable starter by the team, but he'll instead be limited to working as a hitter for the immediate future. X-rays came back negative after being struck by the pitch Saturday, and it's unclear whether the issue will affect his next turn through the rotation beyond Tuesday. Ohtani should continue to provide plenty of value at the plate, but it remains to be seen when he'll get back on the mound.

Manager Joe Maddon said Ohtani (hand/wrist) won't make his scheduled start Tuesday after being hit by a pitch Saturday, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.

Despite being in the lineup as the designated hitter Monday, Ohtani is apparently still dealing with lingering effects from the HBP. There's been no indication of when the two-way phenom will take the mound again, although the fact he's hitting Monday suggests he'll be pitching sooner rather than later.
