Rooker is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

The righty-hitting Rooker was included in the lineup for three of the Twins' last four games, but two of those contests had lefty starters on the mound for the opposition. He'll take a seat Monday against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize, and Rooker could be viewed as a short-side platoon player at this stage now that the Twins have reclaimed some health in the outfield with the return of Byron Buxton from the injured list. Nick Gordon, Rob Refsnyder and Jake Cave will be Rooker's primary competitors for at-bats in left field.

Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 13-1 win over the Cubs.

Jimenez took Kyle Hendricks deep to right field in the fifth to extend the White Sox's lead to 8-1. He had one of five home runs for the South Siders in Sunday's blowout win. Jimenez found lots of success against the Cubs this year, slashing .364/.440/.909 with three homers, 10 RBI, seven runs scored and 3:2 BB:K over six games. Overall, the 24-year-old is hitting .278/.317/.539 with eight long balls, 30 RBI, 15 runs scored and 6:26 BB:K over 123 plate appearances.

Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 13-2 loss to the Rangers.

Alvarez slammed a solo homer off Taylor Hearn in the fifth inning. It was the only home run for the Astros on Sunday. He has six home runs over his last nine games. The 24-year-old is slashing .285/.347/.544 with a team-leading 28 long balls, 88 RBI and 77 runs in 473 plate appearances.

Lewis (knee) was seen running the bases at full speed and sliding in the outfield Sunday, a sign he could soon begin a minor-league rehab assignment, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Lewis appears unlikely to be ready to return from the 60-day injured list when the Seattle roster expands to 28 men Wednesday, but the 26-year-old outfielder may only be a week or two away from being activated. The reigning American League Rookie of the Year was batting .246 with five home runs and two stolen bases in 36 games before he was shut down in early June after undergoing surgery on his right knee.

Solak will start at second base and sixth Sunday against the Astros.

Solak will remain in the lineup for the fourth game in a row at the keystone, and he looks poised to stick around with the Rangers as an everyday player for at least the next week. His top challenger for reps at second base, Andy Ibanez, sustained a hamstring injury in Saturday's 5-2 loss, with manager Chris Woodward suggesting afterward that Ibanez would likely head to the injured list. Solak has helped his case for an expanded role by going 5-for-11 with a home run, a double and three RBI over his last three starts.

Torrens went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk in a loss to the Royals on Saturday.

The backstop's ninth-inning two-bagger plated Mitch Haniger to give the Mariners a sliver of hope before Seattle fell short for the third straight game against Kansas City. Torrens still sports just a .223 average and .292 on-base percentage heading into Sunday's series finale, but he now carries a five-game hitting streak during which he's impressively knocked in seven runs.

Ohtani had X-rays on his right hand/wrist come back negative after he was hit by a pitch Saturday versus the Padres, and he remains on track to pitch Tuesday against the Yankees, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Ohtani was hit on the right hand/wrist by a pitch when he struck out during the first inning, but he never exited the contest and checked out OK after being evaluated. The 27-year-old went 0-for-4 with a walk, two runs and a stolen base -- his 20th steal of the season -- Saturday, and he'll have Sunday's scheduled off day to recover before potentially missing any action. Assuming Ohtani experiences no further issues, he should be back in the lineup at designated hitter Monday versus New York before taking the mound Tuesday.

Reyes went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Saturday's 5-3 extra-inning loss to Boston.

The designated hitter has homered four times in his last nine games, giving him 24 long balls on the year. Reyes has gone 11-for-32 (3.44) in that nine-game stretch. The slugger is up to a .260/.333/.550 slash line with 65 RBI, 44 runs scored and four stolen bases while walking at a 9.8 percent rate. He's also striking out at a 30.7 percent clip, but he's more than made up for it with strong power hitting.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Alvarez opened the scoring in the second inning when he connected on a Kolby Allard offering and turned it around for his 27th homer of the year. Alvarez has now gone deep in five of his last eight contests, upping his season OPS to .888 in 469 plate appearances.

Martinez went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's win over Cleveland.

Martinez made his presence felt when it mattered the most. With the game tied 2-2 in the top of the 10th inning, the veteran slugger blasted a three-run bomb off reliever Nick Wittgren and built a lead the Red Sox wouldn't relinquish. It was Martinez's 24th long ball of the campaign, but perhaps even more importantly, he managed to end two droughts -- an 0-for-18 slump and a nine-game homer drought.
