Soler went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and six RBI during Tuesday's loss to the Royals.

Down 7-0 in the eighth inning, Soler put the Royals on the board with a three-run shot against Kyle Funkhouser. The 29-year-old added the exclamation point of the game with a three-run double in the ninth, knotting up the score at 7-7. It was the the third long ball and 11th double of the season for Soler, who has struggled to replicate the 48-homer campaign he pieced together in 2019. Across 34 games this year, he's batting .200/.280/.374.

Ohtani allowed one earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out 10 across seven innings in Tuesday's loss to the Astros. He did not factor into the decision. At the plate, he went 1-for-4.

Ohtani did everything he could to keep the Angels in the game Tuesday. His only earned run came on a fifth-inning home run by Kyle Tucker. The two-way player has struggled with his control this season, walking 19 batters through his first four starts. However, he didn't show any signs of that against the Astros, walking only one batter and reaching double-digit strikeouts for the first time this season. In addition, he batted second and hit a single in the seventh inning. If that wasn't enough, after he was relieved in the eighth inning, he stayed in the game in right field.

Lewis went 4-for-8 with two walks and a run in two weekend games against the Rangers, boosting his season average 36 points to .258.

The slugging outfielder has progressively ramped up after going 3-for-22 over his first six games following a delayed start to the season. Lewis has slashed .325/.372/.500 with a double, two home runs, four RBI, three walks and four runs in the 43 plate appearances covering his subsequent 10 contests, and he'll enter Tuesday's interleague series opener versus the defending champion Dodgers with a three-game multi-hit streak.

Martinez went 2-for-4 with one run scored Monday against the Orioles.

Martinez reached base in the fourth inning on a single, and he would later score Boston's only run of the day on a sacrifice fly. He's started the month of May 9-for-33 at the dish with one home run and six RBI in nine contests.

Solak went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Mariners.

Solak's only hit of the day came in the fifth when he roped a sinker down the left-field line for a two-RBI double. He later drove in another run in the eighth inning on a groundout. It was a great bounceback performance for the 26-year-old after he went 0-for-5 in Saturday's thrilling 9-8 win. Solak is having a very solid season so far with a slash line of .277/.353/.467. He has seven home runs, 19 RBI and 25 runs scored, but his 9:38 BB:K suggests he needs to have more discipline at the plate.

Mercedes went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over Kansas City.

Mercedes did all of his damage early in Sunday's game. He tripled in a run in the second inning and then brought home two runs with a third-inning double. The 28-year-old breakout star continues to dominate opposing pitching with a .373/.407/.598 slash line and 12 extra-base hits.

Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's 7-4 win over Toronto.

Alvarez turned in his fourth straight multi-hit performance and has six such games over his last seven appearances, raising his season batting average from .303 to .362 during that span. The slugging lefty has racked up 16 extra-base hits and is sporting a terrific 1.033 OPS this season.

Torrens is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

The Mariners' catching situation has turned into a true timeshare of late, with Tom Murphy now having picked up five starts behind the plate to Torrens' four over the past nine contests. Unless one of the two backstops starts performing dramatically better than the other, expect the status quo to remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Alvarez slammed a two-run home run off Steven Matz in the fourth inning. He has six long balls this season and three in as many games. In addition, he has reached base safely in 10 straight games, batting .450 with four home runs and nine RBI over that stretch. The 24-year-old leads the Astros with a .347 batting average and a 1.006 OPS. He is consistently making contact with a .420 BABIP, which is third-highest in baseball.

Torrens went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to the Rangers.

The right-handed hitter hit a home run in the eighth inning to give the Mariners a 7-6 lead. It was the second of the year for the young catcher and he is now slashing .216/.256/.365 in 2021.
