Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Cabrera's fifth home run of the season was a big one, as he took Tyler Duffey deep in the fifth inning with a runner on to break a 2-2 tie, and the Tigers held on for the 4-2 win. The 37-year-old has a six-game hitting streak and has gone a combined 10-for-21 during that time, so his bat is definitely showing some signs of life after a slow start to the season.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a double, walk, stolen base and run scored in Friday's victory versus the Mariners.

Ohtani helped manufacture the Angels' first run in the sixth inning, working a leadoff walk and stealing second base before coming home on a two-out ground-rule double. The 26-year-old is hitting only .188 this season, but he has contributed five homers, 16 RBI and four steals.

Soler went 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run homer in Friday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox.

The blast was his third in the last seven games. Soler is proving last season's power display was no fluke, and through 32 games in 2020 he's slashing .254/.348/.509 with eight homers and 21 RBI.

Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a walk, a two-run homer and a second run scored in Friday's 6-5 win over the Royals.

Jimenez unloaded on a Danny Duffy offering, sending it 452 feet over the wall in the fifth inning for his 11th homer. The outfielder extended his hitting streak to eight games and has four homers in the last seven.

Lewis went 1-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Angels.

Lewis' consistency this season has been nothing short of outstanding, and he has hit safely in 11 of the Mariners' last 12 games -- he has gone 17-for-42 (.404) in that stretch. Lewis is hitting .347 with a team-leading .974 OPS this season, although he has now gone four straight games without an extra-base hit.

Reyes went 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 14-2 win over the Cardinals.

Reyes made an early impact with his three-run homer off Cardinals starter Daniel Ponce de Leon in the first inning. In the fifth, Reyes got aboard with a double and scored on Tyler Naquin's homer. Reyes added a two-RBI single in the sixth inning. He was eventually replaced by pinch hitter Sandy Leon. The 25-year-old Reyes has seven homers, 23 RBI and 19 runs scored through 31 games this season. He's slashing a strong .307/.360/.526 across 125 plate appearances.

Collins was optioned to the alternate training site Friday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Playing time has been hard to come by for Collins, as he is essentially a designated hitter on a team with a healthy veteran (Edwin Encarnacion) playing every day in that spot. Nick Madrigal was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move.

Alvarez underwent arthroscopic surgery on both knees Wednesday and is expected to be ready for spring training.

He will begin physical therapy immediately and is expected to make a full recovery, per the press release. A slight tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee was repaired, and a routine cleanup was performed on his left knee. Alvarez will make for a very tricky evaluation in 2021 redraft leagues, as he has shown his immense potential when healthy, but he is still a high-risk player given his large frame and multiple knee procedures.

Stanton (hamstring) is at least a week away from returning, according to general manager Brian Cashman, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

It was just reported that Aaron Judge (calf) will be out another three weeks, so Stanton figures to beat him back into the Yankees lineup. That said, it could be more than a week for Stanton, so an early September return seems like the best-case scenario.

Choi isn't in the lineup Thursday against the Orioles.

Choi will get a day off with southpaw John Means taking the mound for the Orioles on Thursday. Mike Brosseau will take over at first base.
