Mets' DJ Stewart: Optioned to Syracuse
The Mets optioned Stewart to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
The move is to make room on the 26-man roster for outfielder Jesse Winker, who was acquired by the Mets on Saturday. Stewart has struggled in July, batting 3-for-25 with six walks and eight strikeouts, and has a slash line of .172/.326/.298 across 187 major-league plate appearances this season.

Kyle Schwarber LF | PHI
Phillies' Kyle Schwarber: Belts homer No. 20
Schwarber went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a three-run home run in Saturday's 8-0 rout of the Guardians.
The veteran slugger reached 20 homers on the season when he took Nick Sandlin deep in the fourth inning, one of four Phillies long balls on the afternoon. It was Schwarber's first multi-hit performance since he returned from a groin strain in early July, and his first game with multiple extra-base hits since June 22. On the season, he's slashing .245/.370/.447 with 60 RBI and 67 runs in 93 contests.

Marcell Ozuna DH | ATL
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Launches homer No. 30
Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Mets.
He took Tylor Megill deep in the fourth inning, the first of three solo shots by Atlanta off the right-hander. Ozuna has gone yard in back-to-back games to reach 30 on the season, and he's finishing July in style, slashing .404/.466/.827 over the last 14 contests with seven homers and nine RBI.

Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Nationals' Harold Ramirez: Three hits, three RBI off bench
Ramirez went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 14-3 win over the Cardinals.
Ramirez came into the game as a pinch hitter for Jesse Winker, who was pulled because he was traded to the Mets. Ramirez immediately took advantage with an excellent performance that included his first multi-hit effort since June 29. The veteran outfielder is hitting .308 (8-for-26) in July, and he may see a larger role now that Winker is out of the picture. For the season, Ramirez is slashing .275/.291/.338 with two home runs, 26 RBI, 26 runs scored and five stolen bases over 213 plate appearances between the Rays and Nationals.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Continues to shine
Ohtani went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run, an additional RBI, two walks and a stolen base Saturday in a loss to the Astros.
Ohtani belted another moonshot in the loss, going 443 feet to right field in the third inning. The NL MVP candidate added a run-scoring single in the sixth and reached base four times in total. Ohtani also swiped his 26th base in the contest, tying the career-high mark he established in that category in 2021. The Japanese superstar leads the National League with a .318 batting average and 32 home runs, ranks second with 76 RBI and is in fourth place with 26 steals through 103 games.

Machado went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Orioles.
Machado singled in the third inning, crushed a three-run home run in the seventh and then singled and scored again in the ninth. Over his last 10 games, the third baseman has had four multi-hit efforts and two homers, though he has also gone hitless in five of those contests. On the season, he is batting .262 with 14 homers, 56 RBI, 48 runs scored and five steals across 412 plate appearances.

Kris Bryant RF | COL
Rockies' Kris Bryant: Sitting out nightcap
Bryant is out of the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants.
Bryant started in right field for Game 1 and went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. Jake Cave will bat sixth and fill right field for Game 2. Bryant is 4-for-16 with eight strikeouts and four runs scored since being activated from the IL on July 23.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Diamondbacks' Joc Pederson: Not facing lefty
Pederson is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Pirates.
Pederson will dodge a matchup with southpaw Marco Gonzales, leaving DH duties to Randal Grichuk. Pederson has homered in back-to-back games and has 15 long balls on the year.

Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Idle for first half of twin bill
Blackmon is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants.
With left-hander Blake Snell on the mound for the Giants in Game 1, Colorado has opted not to send out a single left-handed hitter for the matinee. While Blackmon should be expected back in the lineup for Game 2 against righty Hayden Birdsong, Blackmon will leave DH duties to Elias Diaz while Kris Bryant starts in right field in Game 1.

Marcell Ozuna DH | ATL
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Slugs 29th homer
Ozuna went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Mets.
He drove an Eric Orze changeup over the left-field fence in the sixth inning, but Atlanta was already in an 8-2 hole at that point. Ozuna has somehow gotten even hotter at the plate in July, collecting multiple hits in nine of his last 13 games and batting .417 (20-for-48) over that stretch with six homers. The 33-year-old DH sits one long ball short of his third career 30-homer campaign, and 19 RBI shy of reaching triple digits for the third time.
