Martini went 0-for-4 in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to San Diego.

Martini is hitless in 10 at-bats and 4-for-41 (.098) over the last 13 games. He's been a regular in the lineup against right-handers but is hitting just .170 against them.

Bryant (back) has still not been cleared to return to baseball activity, MLB.com reports.

Bryant has been ramping up his activity but still is not cleared to swing a bat. He hopes to take the next step in his recovery soon, but he remains without a clear timeline to return to the field.

Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-run single and a stolen base during Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Schwarber knocked in both the Phillies runs, plating J.T. Realmuto and Whit Merrifield in the second inning. He even swiped second base after the run-scoring single, marking his second pilfer of the campaign. Schwarber finishes the three-game series against the Halos 4-for-13 (.307) with a three-run home run, five total RBI and three total runs scored.

Ohtani is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

It hasn't been reported that Ohtani is dealing with any type of injury, so he's presumably just receiving his first rest day of the season. Ohtani still has a 1.017 OPS on the campaign but has gone 5-for-26 over the past six games, and Thursday's team off day will provide a chance for two straight days to reset. Will Smith will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Austin Barnes starts behind the plate.

McCutchen is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

McCutchen looks to be getting a veteran's rest day as the Pirates and Athletics wrap up their series with a day game after a night game. With McCutchen on the bench, Bryan Reynolds will get a day off in the outfield and will serve as the Pirates' designated hitter.

Machado went 1-for-5 with a three-run double in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

Machado stepped up to the plate in the fifth with the bases juiced and cleared them all with a double to center field. That was his first extra-base hit since April 14 and his first multi-RBI game since April 12. He's tallied a hit in four of his five games since being reinstated from the paternity list and is now slashing .250/.304/.388 with four homers, 16 RBI, 16 runs and a 9:29 BB:K in 125 plate appearances.

Burleson went 3-for-9 with a home run and five RBI across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader split against the Tigers.

After going 1-for-4 with an RBI single in the matinee, Burleson went deep off Tyler Holton in the fifth inning of the nightcap. Burleson's two-hit game in the second contest was his first multi-hit performance since April 10, and on the season, the 25-year-old outfielder is slashing .273/.324/.394 through 24 games with two homers, four runs and 10 RBI.

Sanchez was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rays with right hamstring tightness.

Sanchez was grabbing at his hamstring after beating a throw to first base during the first inning, and he was quickly taken out of the game by a trainer. The severity of his injury isn't immediately apparent, but the Brewers will take a closer look at him in the clubhouse and should provide more information relatively soon.

Carpenter (oblique) could begin a rehab assignment as soon as Thursday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Carpenter has progressed well since being given an injection for his right oblique strain a week ago, having taken a couple rounds of batting practice without issue. It sounds like he might be ready for activation within the next week or so.

Sanchez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Sanchez went 3-for-10 with a pair of doubles, a walk, two runs and an RBI while making starts in each of the last three games, with two coming as a designated hitter and one coming at catcher. The Brewers haven't yet shown a willingness to deploy Sanchez at DH on a consistent basis, so he seems likely to remain in a part-time role while top backstop William Contreras is healthy.
