  • Mets' Daniel Vogelbach: Not in Saturday's lineup

Vogelbach isn't starting Saturday against the Padres.

Vogelbach was traded from the Pirates to the Mets on Friday but will remain out of the lineup for a second consecutive game. J.D. Davis will serve as the designated hitter and bat eighth.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Giants' Joc Pederson: Takes seat against lefty

Pederson isn't starting Saturday against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The Giants are facing a left-handed pitcher for a second consecutive game, so Pederson will remain out of the lineup. Yermin Mercedes is starting in left field and batting seventh.

  • Cubs' Christopher Morel: Tallies three hits, three runs

Morel went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 15-2 win over the Phillies.

No. 9 hitters don't typically bat five times in a game, but the Chicago outburst gave Morel plenty of chances, and the rookie delivered. He's now up to a strong .827 OPS across 56 games to go along with nine home runs and eight stolen bases. As long as Morel continues to see regular playing time, he should remain a decent fantasy asset with upside due to his power and speed potential.

  • Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Swats 15th homer

Blackmon went 2-for-6 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Brewers on Friday.

Blackmon took Corbin Burnes deep in the third inning to pick up his 15th home run of the season. The 36-year-old designated hitter is riding a nine-game hitting streak and came into the game slashing an excellent .311/.360/.511 over his past 45 at-bats.

  • Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT

Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Belts 18th homer

Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-1 win over the Angels.

The veteran slugger capped the scoring on the night for Atlanta, taking Elvis Peguero deep in the eighth inning. Ozuna continues to have trouble building any momentum at the plate, slashing .200/.262/.450 through 16 games in July with four of his 18 homers on the year.

  • Jorge Soler DH | LAA

Marlins' Jorge Soler: Exits with back stiffness

Soler exited Friday's game against the Pirates with back stiffness, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Soler drew the start in left field while hitting seventh. However, he was lifted in the seventh inning with a back issue. It's unclear whether the injury will cost Soler additional time, but Bryan De La Cruz would be a potential beneficiary.

  • Justin Turner DH | CHC

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Expected to miss weekend series

Turner (abdomen) is expected to avoid the injured list but will be out of the lineup for at least two or three days, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Turner exited Thursday's game with pain in his abdomen and is in line to miss the majority of the Dodgers' weekend series against the Giants. Jake Lamb is a likely playing time beneficiary.

  • Mets' Daniel Vogelbach: Traded to Mets

Vogelbach was traded to the Mets in exchange for reliever Colin Holderman on Friday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

The 29-year-old has produced a .228/.338/.430 slash line this year while adding 12 homers, 34 RBI and 29 runs over 237 at-bats in 75 games with the Pirates. Vogelbach should factor into the DH mix for his new club, especially with Dominic Smith (ankle) on the shelf, while also occasionally spelling Pete Alonso at first base.

  • Justin Turner DH | CHC

    Dodgers' Justin Turner: Unavailable Friday

Turner (abdomen) is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Giants, Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA reports.

Turner left Thursday's victory over the Giants early with abdominal tightness and will now miss Friday's contest. Jake Lamb will draw the start at designated hitter and will bat seventh versus San Francisco. Turner can be considered day-to-day.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Giants' Joc Pederson: On bench against southpaw

Pederson isn't starting Friday against the Dodgers.

Pederson will be out of the lineup since left-hander Tyler Anderson is on the mound for the Dodgers. Yermin Mercedes will take over in left field and bat seventh.
