Carpenter will sit again for the fourth game of the NLCS against the Nationals on Tuesday.

Carpenter has gone just 1-for-12 at the plate thus far in the playoffs. Jose Martinez will again get the nod in right field, pushing Tommy Edman to third base.

Stanton (quadriceps) is available off the bench for Game 3 of the ALCS against the Astros on Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Stanton sat for Game 2 after injuring his quad in the first game of the series. Manager Aaron Boone said that he'd likely go to the injured list if it were still the regular season, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports, but he's sticking around as an option for now.

Stanton (quadriceps) remains on the bench for Game 3 of the ALCS against the Astros on Tuesday.

Stanton injured his quad while running to first base in Game 1 and did not appear in Game 2. The Yankees haven't replaced him on the roster, indicating that they don't think he'll be out too much longer. Brett Gardner slides to left field in his absence, with Aaron Hicks starting in center.

Carpenter is not in the lineup for Game 3 of the NLCS against the Nationals on Monday.

Carpenter went 0-for-6 with three strikeouts over the first two games of the series, but should be available as a pinch hitter as he was for much of the NLDS. Tommy Edman will shift to third base with Jose Martinez starting in right field.

Stanton is not in the lineup for Game 2 of the ALCS due to a right quadriceps strain and he is considered day-to-day, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports. He is available off the bench as a pinch hitter.

Manager Aaron Boone said Stanton injured his quad in Game 1 while running down the line on his infield hit, according to James Wagner of The New York Times. Boone said he hopes Stanton will be able to return to the lineup at some point during this series. Cameron Maybin gets the start in his place and will hit eighth.

Stanton is not in Sunday's lineup against the Astros for Game 2 of the ALCS.

Cameron Maybin and Brett Gardner will start next to Aaron Judge (from left to right) while Stanton heads to the bench. Stanton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Game 1. His absence from the lineup is pretty surprising, so perhaps his knee is bothering him again.

Carpenter is starting at third base and batting sixth in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Braves on Sunday, Rob Rains of StLSportsPage.com reports.

Carpenter was on the bench for the first two games of the series and delivered an RBI single in his Game 1 pinch-hit appearance. The veteran infielder struggled with a .726 OPS for the season, but he came on strong in the back half of September with an .889 OPS in his last 11 games.

Ford failed to make the Yankees' ALDS roster.

Ford recorded a .909 OPS in 50 games this season, including a 1.142 OPS in the month of September. The Yankees will side with Luke Voit and his longer track record to begin the playoffs despite Voit's poor run down the stretch.

Pederson is not in the lineup for Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Nationals on Thursday.

Pederson has hit four home runs with six runs over the past six games but will retreat to the bench against southpaw Patrick Corbin. Chris Taylor will start in right field, batting fifth.

Choi is not starting Wednesday's AL Wild Card Game against Oakland, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Choi will take a seat with lefty Sean Manaea on the mound for Oakland. He's made the roster, though, and has a decent chance to appear of the bench in what could be a game full of substitutions. Yandy Diaz starts at first base.
