Pederson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 10-6 win over the Marlins.

Pederson's first-inning solo shot set the early tone against Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara. Pederson played six innings before being replaced by pinch hitter Enrique Hernandez to lead off the seventh. The 27-year-old is hitting .236 with 22 homers, 46 RBI and 52 runs scored in 90 games this season, but he'll typically only start versus right-handed pitchers.

Turner went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Saturday's 10-6 win over the Marlins.

Turner took Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara deep in the fifth inning, extending the Dodgers' lead to 5-0 at the time. The third baseman has gone 12-for-41 with four homers and 11 runs scored over his last 10 games. Turner has 13 homers, 40 RBI and 55 runs scored in 91 games overall this season.

Canha went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two runs scored Saturday against the Twins.

Canha took Zack Littell deep in the seventh inning to record his 16th home run of the season. He continues to take advantage of regular playing time in the absence of Stephen Piscotty (knee), collecting at least one hit in eight of his last 10 contests. He now has a .255/.386/.557 line across 236 plate appearances for the season.

Ohtani went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Mariners.

Ohtani didn't get on the basepaths until the ninth inning, where he laced a single and promptly stole second. It's his seventh stolen base of the year, but more notably his third in nine games since the All-Star break. During that span, the 25-year-old is 7-for-28 with four runs scored, two RBI and five walks.

Goins is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.

Goins will be on the bench for a second straight game with the Rays bringing another southpaw (Ryan Yarbrough) to the hill. The veteran still looks poised to fill the strong side of a platoon at shortstop with either Jose Rondon or Leury Garcia until Tim Anderson (ankle) returns from the injured list.

Reed is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.

Reed will sit for the third time in four games, with all of his benchings coming versus southpaws. It's conceivable that Reed is still viewed as a strong-side platoon option at designated hitter, though Welington Castillo's recent return from the injured list represents a potential obstacle for Reed seeing steady action.

The Cardinals are hopeful Carpenter (foot) will be ready to begin a minor-league rehab assignment next week, the Associated Press reports.

St. Louis probably won't map out a rehab schedule for Carpenter until he ramps up his baseball activities, but the report at least offers optimism that his latest stay on the injured list will likely be a brief one. As was the case during Carpenter's first IL stint earlier this month, rookie Tommy Edman will continue to serve as the Cardinals' primary third baseman while the veteran is on the shelf.

The Cardinals cleared Ozuna (finger) to resume baseball activities Friday after he turned in an encouraging workout Thursday, the Associated Press reports.

Ozuna has been shut down since June 29 with right hand and finger fractures, and he's faced persistent swelling stalling his recovery process. The inflammation has apparently subsided, so expect Ozuna to gradually add more activities to his regimen as he works his way back from the 10-day injured list. He could be ready to begin a minor-league rehab assignment at some point late next week if all goes well in his workouts over the next few days.

Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.

All four Houston runs scored on solo shots, with Alvarez's third-inning blast -- the tail end of a back-to-back-to-back set with Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman -- proving to be the game-winner. The rookie slugger now has 10 homers and 32 RBI through his first 27 big-league contests to go along with a sizzling .327/.400/.692 slash line.

Vogelbach went 2-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI in Friday's 10-0 shutout of the Angels.

Vogelbach crushed a pair of three-run homers in back-to-back plate appearances, first a 402-foot shot in the fourth inning, then a 406-footer in the fifth, both off Jaime Barria. The long balls were his first since July 6 against Oakland. Overall this season, the 26-year-old is batting .239/.372/.512 with 22 home runs, 57 RBI and 51 runs scored.
