Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and three RBI for Triple-A Round Rock in its 8-4 win over Nashville on Monday.

After another big day at the dish, Alvarez boosted his season RBI count to 63 in only 47 games while raising his average to a Pacific Coast League-leading .371. In a testament to how dominant he's been this season, Alvarez still paces the PCL in hitting despite having gone 2-for-24 since May 19 before breaking out of the slump Monday. The Astros chose not to call Alvarez up from the minors when George Springer (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, but the 21-year-old's big-league debut doesn't look to be far away.

Vogelbach went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Mariners' 6-2 victory over the Rangers on Monday.

Vogelbach absolutely unloaded on a pitch from Jose Leclerc in the seventh inning, sending the ball into the upper deck at T-Mobile Park for his 15th long ball of the year. The 26-year-old's average is down to .253 after his torrid start to the season, but through 146 at-bats he's still posting an excellent .389 on-base percentage and slugging .610, giving hope that the early-season success is sustainable.

Buxton went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run Monday against the Brewers.

Buxton crushed a three-run homer in the second inning to give his team an early 4-0 lead, but Milwaukee would rally and take the first game of the series. Following an injury-plagued 2018 campaign, the 25-year-old outfielder has already registered five home runs, 28 RBI and nine stolen bases through 50 games this season.

Martinez went 2-for-5 with two home runs in a 12-5 win over the Indians on Monday.

Martinez was hitless through three at-bats until he hit a solo shot in the sixth inning and took a slider deep to left field in the eighth inning. The first home run was crushed, registering an exit velocity of 106 mph. The right-hander had one hit in his last five games coming into this one, so it was a welcome sight to see the power display. Martinez is hitting .268/.369/.521 with seven home runs in May.

Blackmon (calf) is hoping his stint on the injured list will not last longer than 10 days, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

The team hoped Blackmon would be able to avoid a stint on the injured list altogether, though ultimately opted for the move to avoid a short bench for its four-game series against the Diamondbacks. The news is positive, though it remains far from a certainty that he'll be able to return June 4, when first eligible.

Blackmon (calf) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Blackmon left Thursday's game against the Pirates early and did not appear in the team's weekend series against the Orioles. Monday, he was officially placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 24. Recently recalled Yonathan Daza and Ian Desmond figure to pick up playing time in Blackmon's absence.

Reyes (shoulder) is starting in right field and hitting second Monday against the Yankees.

He missed the last two games, with Sunday's absence being attributed to a sore shoulder. However, he can be safely deployed in all formats this week. Reyes is hitting .275 with seven home runs in 80 at-bats in May.

Ramirez will bat second Monday and start in center field, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez has found success with the big-league club since being recalled May 11, hitting .395/.439/.553 across 41 plate appearances. He's been especially hot of late, racking up multiple hits in five of his past six starts. He's batted predominantly fifth and seventh in the team's lineup, but will get the chance to bat near the top of the order Monday.

Ozuna went 0-for-3 but walked twice, stole a base and scored a run in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

Ozuna was unable to collect a hit but still found a way to contribute. Though he is hitting only .230 on the season, Ozuna leads the Cardinals in homers (14) and runs batted in (45). The stolen base was his fourth of the season, which is already one more than he collected in 148 games last year.

Pederson went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a walk Sunday against the Pirates.

Pederson belted a solo homer to right field in the sixth inning, and he singled to left later in the frame to plate another run. The 27-year-old outfielder has put on a display of power through the first third of the season, slashing .252/.365/.629 with 15 home runs and 29 RBI in 47 games.
