Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.

Ozuna delivered a pair of insurance runs late, hitting his 16th home run with two outs in the seventh inning in the 5-2 win. The 27-year-old is making up for a disappointing July with a strong August -- over 81 at-bats in the month, he's slashing .321/.368/.494 with 11 RBI.

Carpenter is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.

It's a rare day off for Carpenter, who has started 28 straight games for the Cardinals, hitting .259/.391/.546 with nine homers over that stretch. Jose Martinez will start at first base and lead off in this one.

Canha is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers.

Canha will retreat to the bench for the third time in four days as Ramon Laureano picks up another start in center field in his stead. The outfielder is hitting .247/.323/.434 with 14 homers through 100 games this season.

Stanton is hitting second and starting in right field Tuesday in Miami, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

This was fully expected, as the Yankees said Stanton, who had been dealing hamstring tightness, would be able to play the field in this interleague series, but now we have confirmation. Stanton is hitting .324/.407/.743 with eight home runs in 74 at-bats this month. The Yankees have another game in Miami on Wednesday, followed by an off day before heading to Baltimore for this weekend's series.

Belt is on the bench Tuesday against the Mets, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Belt will sit for the first time since returning from the disabled list last Tuesday. Austin Slater will start at first base against lefty Steven Matz.

Harper will not be traded by the Nationals, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

The Nationals placed Harper on revocable waivers where he was claimed by the Dodgers, Grant Paulsen of NBC Sports Washington reports. However, the two sides couldn't reach an agreement within the allowed negotiation period, so the outfielder will remain in Washington through the end of the season.

Ozuna's month-long hot streak continued Monday, and he's now reached safely in nine of his last 10 games. While the outfielder's power numbers remain well below the pace he established during his career 2017 season in Miami (37 home runs over 159 games), his 67 RBI rank him behind only Jose Martinez and Matt Carpenter on the Cardinals, while his 131 hits lead the team.

Choi went 1-for-2 with two walks in a win over the Royals on Monday.

Choi's hitting streak is now up to eight games, a stretch during which he's boosted his season average 35 points to .248. The 27-year-old has five extra-base hits (three doubles, two home runs) over that span, and he brings some power upside to a Rays lineup that lost some pop when Wilson Ramos was traded to the Phillies.

Carpenter went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored to help St. Louis to a 5-3 victory over the Dodgers on Monday.

After a brief lull that saw him log just one hit over his last six games, Carpenter resumed his blistering hot streak in this contest, ripping three hits, including his 34th long ball that he tagged in the ninth inning off the usually-untouchable Kenley Jansen. Carpenter has made any concerns over his well-documented slow start seem downright comical, as he boasts a phenomenal .273/.387/.582 slash line over 440 at-bats.

McCutchen has been placed on revocable waivers and could be traded by the end of the week, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic Bay Area reports.

According to Baggarly, the Giants were waiting to place McCutchen on revocable waivers while they were still chasing a playoff spot, but after they were swept by the Reds over the weekend, it seems they are waiving the white flag. Baggarly expects the Giants to do McCutchen a solid and ship him to a team where he could get more exposure during a potential World Series run. He will be a free agent this winter, and while he is still an above-average hitter (114 wRC+), he has graded out as a negative defender in each of the past three seasons (according to FanGraphs). If he does indeed get traded to a contender, it's possible he will see a significant reduction in playing time over the rest of the season, but that all depends on where he ends up.
