Cabrera (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday.

As expected, the former MVP will head to the disabled list to rest his ailing hamstring. He was also dealing with a biceps injury prior to the hamstring acting up, so he'll get a chance to let his whole body get back to 100 percent at least over the next 10 days. It's unclear if he'll need more than the minimum 10 days to heal. Grayson Greiner was recalled from Triple-A Toledo to fill the void on the active roster.

Brantley is not in the lineup Friday against the Yankees, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Brantley is hitting .348/.368/.562 with three homers in 22 games, striking out just 5.3 percent of the time. Rajai Davis will start in left field in his place.

Miller is not in the lineup against Toronto on Friday, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.

Miller head to the bench with left-hander J.A. Happ on the hill during the series opener against the Blue Jays. In his absence, C.J. Cron will start at first base and Rob Refsnyder gets a start at DH.

Cabrera (hamstring) will probably be placed on the disabled list Friday, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Cabrera left Thursday's game against the Royals with a right hamstring strain. The team will evaluate Cabrera on Friday afternoon, but early indications are that he'll need a stint on the DL. Prior to the injury, Cabrera's numbers came closer to his peak seasons than his disappointing 2017 season. He's hitting .323/.407/.516 with three home runs in 26 games.

Martinez went 2-for-5 in Thursday's 11-5 loss to the Rangers.

Martinez aggravated a left thumb injury Wednesday, but was in the lineup Thursday and posted his sixth multi-hit game over the past eight. During that eight-game run, Martinez is hitting .469 (15-for-32), so the thumb, which was originally hurt in early April, has not been a factor in his recent production.

Ohtani went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI in the Angels' 12-3 romp over the Orioles on Thursday.

The dual-threat phenom checked in with another solid day at the plate against Baltimore to raise his average to .327 and his OPS to .991 through 55 at-bats. The ankle injury that caused him to have his scheduled start on Tuesday pushed back doesn't look like it's effecting him, so assuming he doesn't encounter any setbacks he should be good to go on the mound against Seattle on Sunday as he looks to continue his remarkable rookie campaign.

Buxton (toe) traveled with the Twins on a 10-game road trip, but did not begin running Thursday. He could be activated during the road trip, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. "I don't really have a date in mind; I haven't been given a date," said manager Paul Molitor.

Buxton has a hairline fracture in his left big toe. It's not clear if the Twins will activate him from the DL when he's able to play or first send him on a short minor league rehab assignment. Buxton will first need to start running before a timetable can be determined. However, it does appear like he'll be activated in the next week since he traveled with the team on the 10-game road trip.

Soler went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and three runs scored in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

Soler's reemergence has been one of the bigger surprises of the season so far. He has his slash line up to .312/.435/.538 and he's hit two homers in his last three games to bring his total to four. An improved contact rate and better plate discipline is fueling his success. Entering play Thursday, Soler had a 0.67 BB/K, ranking 41st among 177 qualified hitters. He's now a fixture in the two hole for Kansas City, batting in front of Mike Moustakas.

Ohtani is set to DH and bat fifth against Baltimore on Thursday.

Ohtani will be back in the lineup for the second straight day as he remains on track to take the mound Sunday, though the club has yet to name an official starter for the series finale in Seattle.

The Tigers announced that Cabrera (biceps) officially left Thursday's game with a right hamstring strain.

Though Cabrera was visibly hampered by an arm issue, he is also battling a hamstring injury, which will likely be further evaluated by the team in the coming hours. Expect an additional update on the severity of this issue, and the condition of his arm injury, prior to Friday's game.
