The Tigers announced that Cabrera (biceps) officially left Thursday's game with a right hamstring strain.

Though Cabrera was visibly hampered by an arm issue, he is also battling a hamstring injury, which will likely be further evaluated by the team in the coming hours. Expect an additional update on the severity of this issue, and the condition of his arm injury, prior to Friday's game.

Cabrera was removed from Thursday's game with a left biceps injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Cabrera has been dealing with this particular injury since Sunday when he was removed from that game with a left biceps spasm. Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press noted that Cabrera has been bothered by his left arm throughout the course Thursday's outing, repeatedly shaking it during his at-bats. Since it's become apparent that Cabrera is not anywhere close to 100 percent, it seems likely that he will remain on the bench for Friday's game, though he should be considered day-to-day at the moment.

Martinez (thumb) will play left field against the Rangers on Thursday, Ryan Hannable of WEEI.com reports.

Martinez went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's victory but admitted after the game that he aggravated his sore left thumb during an at-bat in the fifth inning. He initially injured the thumb in mid-April against the Yankees but hasn't been forced to miss any time with the issue. It doesn't seem to have any impact on his performance, as he's hitting .343/.392/.593 with six home runs and 24 RBI this year.

Pederson is not in the lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks, Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.

Pederson has been swinging a hot bat as of late, hitting .351 with 10 RBI over the past 14 games. He'll head to the bench for a night off to avoid a lefty-on-lefty matchup with Patrick Corbin, allowing the recently promoted Tim Locastro to pick up his first start of the season in his stead.

Cabrera (biceps) will DH and bat third against the Royals on Thursday.

Cabrera will return to action after being sidelined for the past three games due to biceps spasms that he suffered during Sunday's contest versus Baltimore. Depending on how Cabrera fares during Thursday's game, manager Ron Gardenhire could elect to give him a day off Friday in order to keep the 35-year-old fresh, considering the team only has two scheduled off days throughout the entire month of March.

Canha went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Mariners on Wednesday.

Canha turned on an Edwin Diaz pitch to lead off the visitors' half of the ninth, launching it 384 feet to left to snap a 2-2 tie. The blast ended up being the difference in the game and was the 29-year-old's third round tripper over the last six games. Canha's line is up to a blistering .339/.391/.644 over 64 plate appearances, with an unsustainable .375 BABIP and eight-point drop in strikeout rate (29.9 percent to 21.9 percent) from last season both playing a prominent role in his early success.

Pederson started in center field and went 0-for-3 with a walk in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Arizona.

Manager Dave Roberts stated that Alex Verdugo would receive the bulk of starts in the outfield while Yasiel Puig (ankle) is on the DL, but he has been able to keep Pederson's bat in the lineup against a trio of Arizona's right-handed starters through creative lineup shuffling. Despite his recent uptick in playing time, the 25-year-old will likely head to the bench for the Dodgers' next two games against southpaws.

Martinez aggravated his sore left thumb during Wednesday's game against the Royals, Michael Silverman and Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

Martinez said the injury happened while swinging at a pitch in the fifth inning. He initially jammed the thumb during the series against the Yankees early last month and has been fighting it ever since. "It's gotten better, it goes away and then it comes back. All it takes is one swing," said Martinez, whose thumb and left hand were wrapped up after the game. He plans to continue to play through the pain, which hasn't had too much impact on his production. Martinez has a .985 OPS with six home runs and 24 RBI over 28 games.

Stanton went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Astros.

Incredibly, Stanton's two blasts were the first homers Dallas Keuchel has served up to any Yankees hitter in seven career starts against them. The 28-year-old slugger now has seven home runs and 19 RBI in his first 30 games in pinstripes, and his .240/.316/.479 slash line is creeping closer to expectations.

Harper went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Pirates.

Manager Dave Martinez's decision to move Harper to the leadoff spot has paid immediate dividends, as the slugger went yard for the second straight game and 10th time this year. Wednesday's blast was also his first career leadoff homer, pushing his slash line back up to .268/.464/.598.
