Cabrera (back, hip) is out of the lineup Monday against the Rangers.

Cabrera will sit out a second straight contest with lower-back and hip soreness, an injury that he picked up late in Saturday's game against the Twins. He had prepared to enter the series finale in a pinch-hitting scenario Sunday, according to Evan Woodbery of MLive.com, but ultimately went unused. That's at least an indication that Cabrera's injury is being viewed as a day-to-day issue, so while John Hicks will pick up another start at first base Monday, it shouldn't be long before Cabrera settles back in at the position.

Winker is not in the lineup Monday against the Cubs.

As per usual, Winker will head to the bench with the opposition sending out a southpaw starter (Jose Quintana). He's now started 11 of the last 14 games, with all three of his off days coming against left-handed pitchers. Patrick Kivlehan will start in right field in his stead.

Collins was removed from Sunday's game with High-A Winston Salem after sustaining a bruised forearm, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Collins is being listed as day-to-day after he was hit on the forearm by a deflected ball while catching. The injury doesn't appear to be overly serious, and the young backstop should be back in action relatively soon. While he is batting just .220 at High-A, he owns a respectable .795 OPS thanks to his 75 walks and 17 homers.

Turner led the charge for the Dodgers' offense on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in a 6-4 win over San Diego.

The 32-year-old went deep twice in the same game for the second time this week, bringing his season total up to 17. After a slow start to the season in terms of power, it appeared that Turner wouldn't be able to match the career-high of 27 homers he set last year, but a strong second half has resurrected fantasy owners' hopes of a repeat in that department. His impressive .346/.436/.573 triple slash is proving that 2016's breakout was no fluke.

McCutchen (knee) is hitting third as the Pirates designated hitter during Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

McCutchen exited Friday's game with a minor knee injury but is set to rejoin the starting lineup after getting the day off Saturday. The Pirates have a scheduled off-day Monday, so it's possible that the veteran could return to the outfield when the team kicks off its two-game set against the Brewers on Monday.

The Tigers had previously labeled Cabrera as doubtful to suit up in the series finale after lower-back tightness prompted his early exit in Saturday's contest, so his absence Sunday isn't surprising. John Hicks will enter the lineup at first base and bat fifth, but it's unclear if he'll pick up any further starts in the games to follow. Cabrera should be viewed as day-to-day and could return to action as soon as Monday against the Rangers if his back shows improvement.

Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo reported Sunday that Harper has a "significant bone bruise" in his left knee but that he avoided any ligament damage, Gabe Lacques of USA Today reports. Harper was placed on the 10-day disabled list.

This appears to be a near best-case scenario for the Nationals and Harper's fantasy owners alike, as the superstar right fielder has seemingly avoided a serious knee injury after exiting Saturday's contest prematurely. The team has not released a timetable for his eventual return, but it is confident that the injury is not season-ending. His status moving forward will likely depend on how quickly the bone bruise heals. Michael Taylor (oblique) was activated from the DL in a corresponding move.

Cespedes is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Cespedes has five hits -- including two home runs and five RBI -- during his past three games, but he'll receive a scheduled day of rest as the Mets close out their weekend series against Zach Eflin and the Phillies. Brandon Nimmo will take over in left field, batting seventh.

Harper will undergo an MRI on Sunday as the Nationals look to assess the severity of the hyperextended left knee he suffered in the first inning of Saturday's 3-1 win over the Giants, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.

Harper required assistance off the field after he slipped on the top of first base awkwardly while trying to beat out an infield grounder during his first at-bat of the game. Given that Harper looked to be in considerable pain, it seems quite likely that he'll land on the disabled list as a result of the injury, but the Nationals won't have a timetable for his recovery until the MRI results are read. Harper's likely absence would represent yet another hit to the Nationals' dwindling outfield depth, as Jayson Werth (foot) and Michael Taylor (oblique) are already on the disabled list along with Adam Eaton (knee), who has been ruled out for the season.

Cespedes went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Saturday against the Phillies.

Cespedes smashed his 14th bomb of the campaign to put the Mets on the board in the fourth inning of a divisional loss. He's now homered in three of his last five games to raise his slugging percentage to .512, and although he's not performing like the fantasy star he's been over the past couple years, he's still a solid fantasy option.
