  • Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Doubles in win

Eldridge went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's 5-0 win over Atlanta.

Eldridge doubled in the second inning before coming around to score, marking his second two-bagger in as many days. The 21-year-old has been struggling at the plate of late, batting .111 with three runs scored across 32 plate appearances over his last eight games. Overall, he's slashing .279/.374/.486 with 22 runs scored, 16 RBI and six home runs in 163 plate appearances this season.

  • Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Resting hamstring Sunday

Canzonze is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians in order to rest his ailing right hamstring, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Canzone missed one game after sustaining the right hamstring injury last Sunday versus Boston, but he returned Wednesday and started three of the past four games. He doesn't appear to have suffered a setback and is instead just resting the hamstring, so Canzone will most likely return to the lineup Monday against the Angels.

  • Nate Lowe DH | CIN

Reds' Nathaniel Lowe: Left out of starting nine

Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

The Pirates will send right-hander Mitch Keller to the bump for the series finale, but the left-handed-hitting Lowe will be included from the lineup nonetheless while he's gone just 2-for-13 with a 2:6 BB:K over his last six games. Cincinnati will go with Spencer Steer as its starting first baseman in place of Lowe.

  • Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Homers in win

Yoshida went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Yankees.

Yoshida started it early with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning. It was just the second homer of the season for Yoshida, who has been deployed as a leadoff four times within the last two weeks. Overall, the outfielder's role hasn't changed since the start of the season, even with the continued absence of Roman Anthony (finger). He's been limited mostly to designated hitter and pinch-hitting opportunities.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Back in starting nine Sunday

Springer (personal) will serve as the Blue Jays' designated hitter and hit leadoff in Sunday's game against the Rangers.

The Blue Jays had been preparing for the possibility of Springer going on the paternity list this weekend, but he ended up sticking around after sitting out Saturday's 7-4 loss. Springer could still go on paternity leave at some point during the upcoming week, making him a risky fantasy option during that period.

  • Cooper Ingle DH | CLE

Guardians' Cooper Ingle: Records first MLB hit, RBI

Ingle started at designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Saturday's 4-3 win over Seattle.

Ingle's fourth-inning single through a drawn-in infield plated two runs, giving the Guardians a 3-0 lead. It marked his first hit and RBI in the majors. A catcher coming up through the minors, Ingle is up with Cleveland for his bat and will not be limited to duty behind the plate. The Guardians carry four players capable of catching and are expected to deploy Ingle at DH and in left field.

  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Plays hero Saturday

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk and three RBI in Saturday's 9-7 win over the Pirates.

Suarez came up clutch, launching a three-run shot off Gregory Soto to give the Reds a two-run lead in the top of the ninth inning. The veteran slugger is batting just .190 through 21 games in June, though he's now hit safely in three straight with three extra-base hits. On the season, he's slashing .210/.276/.379 with eight homers, 29 RBI and 18 runs scored across 214 plate appearances.

  • Brewers' Christian Yelich: Out of Saturday's lineup

Yelich is not in the lineup for Saturday's matchup against the Cubs.

After going 2-for-5 with an RBI double and a strikeout in Friday's series opener, Yelich will take a seat Saturday as the Cubs trot out left-hander David Peterson. Gary Sanchez will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth for Milwaukee.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Left out of lineup

Springer (personal) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Texas.

Although no official roster move has been made just yet, Springer is expected to be away from the team for the weekend while on paternity leave. Vladimir Guerrero will fill in as Toronto's designated hitter with Springer out, opening up first base for Sean Keys.

  • Blue Jays' George Springer: Headed for paternity list

Springer is expected to be placed on paternity leave this weekend, Gregor Chisholm of the Toronto Star reports.

The veteran slugger would be afforded up to three days away while on the paternity list. Springer is still struggling to produce consistent offense this season, and over 20 games in June he's slashing just .224/.341/.382 with three homers, seven RBI and 11 runs. While he's away from the team, the Blue Jays are expected to promote prospect Sean Keys.
