Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Goes yard twice in win
Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in Friday's 6-1 win over the Padres.
This was Ozuna's fourth straight multi-hit game, and he's swatted five homers over his last eight contests. He put up Atlanta's first and last runs in the win. For the year, the slugger is up to 26 homers, 77 RBI, 57 runs scored, 20 doubles and a .301/.377/.584 slash line through 93 games. Ozuna hit a career-high 40 long balls last year and looks to have a decent chance to match that number in 2024.

Trevor Larnach LF | MIN
Twins' Trevor Larnach: Idle against southpaw
Larnach is out of the lineup for Friday's game against San Francisco.
The lefty-hitting Larnach will avoid a same-handed matchup with Kyle Harrison as Willi Castro bats third as the left fielder. Larnach is 2-for-21 (.095) with 11 strikeouts and six walks in July.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Back in action Friday
Alvarez (hip) is batting third as the designated hitter Friday against the Rangers, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
The 27-year-old slugger sat out Thursday due to right hip tightness, but he's ready to rejoin the lineup for Friday's series opener versus Texas. Alvarez has gone 2-for-13 with three walks and five strikeouts over his past five games, though that slump was preceded by a six-game stretch in which he went 11-for-22 with four doubles and three homers.

Masataka Yoshida LF | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: On bench vs. southpaw
Yoshida is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Yoshida has a .923 OPS with five extra-base hits and 12 RBI over his past 14 games, but he'll head to the bench Friday as lefty Cole Ragans pitches for Kansas City. Tyler O'Neill will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Rob Refsnyder picks up a start in the outfield.

Jair Camargo C | ATL
Twins' Jair Camargo: Brought up to bigs
The Twins recalled Camargo from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday.
Camargo will take the place of Kyle Farmer (shoulder) on the Twins' roster. Minnesota was already dealing with injuries to Royce Lewis (groin) and Alex Kirilloff (back), so Camargo could see some work at first base or DH in a pinch as the Twins shuffle their roster. The 24-year-old catcher has slashed .215/.277/.431 over 141 plate appearances with St. Paul this season.

Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: In lineup Friday
Blackmon (hamstring) is the DH and batting leadoff Friday against the Mets.
Blackmon has been nursing a sore right hamstring stemming from a sliding catch he made Monday. After spending three straight games on the bench, the 37-year-old is back in the starting nine Friday, although he's still not quite ready for a defensive role. Blackmon is slashing .256/.325/.402 with four homers and five stolen bases over 280 plate appearances this season.

Bryan De La Cruz LF | PHI
Marlins' Bryan De La Cruz: Homer, three hits in loss
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in Thursday's loss to the Astros.
De La Cruz jumped on a hanging slider from Jake Bloss in the first inning and launched it into the stands in left field to give Miami an early lead. It marked the outfielder's 16th home run and his fourth three-hit performance of the season. He's batting .294 (10-for-34) in July with four RBI and a run scored. However, Thursday's homer was also De La Cruz's first extra-base hit this month.

Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Racks up three hits, four RBI
Yoshida went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and two additional RBI in Thursday's 7-0 win against Oakland.
Yoshida put Boston on the board in the first inning with a two-run single and capped the team's scoring with a two-run homer in the sixth. He finished with his fourth multi-hit effort through nine games in July. Yoshida is batting .333 (12-for-36) over that stretch with two long balls, 11 RBI and five runs.

J.D. Martinez DH | NYM
Mets' J.D. Martinez: Busts slump with three hits
Martinez went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs Thursday against the Nationals.
Martinez entered Thursday's contest mired in a 4-for-32 (.125) slump over the previous 10 games, but he reached base four times Friday while collecting just his third three-hit performance of the season. It was also just the second time in 12 games he'd driven in any runs. Despite the recent slump, the 36-year-old Martinez continues to provide quality production in his 14th season, posting a .274 average with 10 homers, 15 doubles, 38 RBI and 27 runs over 234 at-bats.
