McCutchen isn't in the lineup for Thursday's contest in St. Louis.

The Pirates are giving Bryan Reynolds a start in the designated hitter slot while Jack Suwinski plays left field and Michael Taylor handles center field. McCutchen has struggled in his career against the Cardinals' starting pitcher for Thursday's game, Lance Lynn, going 13-for-57 with a 21:1 K:BB.

Stanton is out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Kansas City.

Stanton slugged home runs in the second and third games of the series but has bookended the power output with days off in the first and now the fourth games. Aaron Judge will get a day out of the outfield and serve as the Yankees' designated hitter Thursday while Stanton rests.

Carpenter is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Carpenter has been seeing most of the starts in the designated-hitter spot for the Cardinals versus righties since Lars Nootbaar (oblique) went on the injured list, resulting in Alec Burleson playing regularly in right field. However, Carpenter will begin Thursday's contest on the bench against right-hander Mitch Keller. Nolan Arenado will serve as St. Louis' DH while Jose Fermin replaces Arenado at third base.

Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Wednesday in an 11-5 win over the Royals.

Stanton flexed his power with a 449-foot two-run blast in the fifth inning. It was his second straight game with a home run after an ugly weekend set against the Dodgers during which he went 0-for-14 with seven punchouts. Stanton is up to 17 homers and 40 RBI on the campaign along with a .233/.288/.491 slash line.

Soler went 2-for-2 with two walks and one run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Astros.

Soler has found some success at the plate in June, going 11-for-37 (.297) over 10 contests this month. He's also drawn four walks over his last three games, though his 9.6 percent walk rate is still his lowest since 2015. While it's a positive to see the designated hitter make more consistent contact, he's still struggling to hit for power. He's batting .217 with a .661 OPS, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases over 56 games this season. Soler's lowest OPS in a season is .503 in 2017, but he played in just 35 games that year.

Carpenter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

The lefty-hitting Carpenter will hit the bench Wednesday while the Pirates bring southpaw Bailey Falter to the hill. With Carpenter taking a seat, Alec Burleson will get a day out of the outfield and serve as the Cardinals' designated hitter while Dylan Carlson steps in as St. Louis' starting right fielder.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

The lefty-hitting Manzardo will exit the lineup while the Reds bring southpaw Nick Lodolo to the bump. Gabriel Arias will receive a turn as the Guardians' designated hitter while Manzardo sits.

Yoshida is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Yoshida returned from the 10-day injured list Tuesday and started at designated hitter in Boston's 4-1 loss, going 0-for-2 with a walk. Though he should serve as Boston's primary DH now that he's healthy again, Yoshida will give way to Tyler O'Neill on Wednesday. O'Neill missed the Red Sox's previous three games and is being eased back into the lineup in a non-defensive role, but he should eventually see regular starts in the corner outfield to keep the DH spot open for Yoshida.

Peralta is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Manny Machado remains limited to designated hitter duties after missing out on four straight starts last week due to a hip flexor strain, so the Padres won't have room in the lineup for Peralta for the third contest in a row. Once Machado is cleared to play regularly at third base again, Peralta will likely form a platoon at designated hitter with Donovan Solano.

Stanton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 10-1 win against Kansas City.

Stanton produced an RBI on a fielder's choice in the first inning and added a 446-foot solo blast in the seventh. It was a positive bounce-back after the slugger went 0-for-14 with seven strikeouts during the weekend's three-game series versus the Dodgers. Stanton's .229 batting average on the season isn't ideal, but he's tied for ninth in the league with 16 homers and has added 38 RBI along with 29 runs through 245 plate appearances.
