Jorge Polanco 2B | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Stays hot in win
Polanco went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 9-6 win over the Padres.
Polanco hit a two-run home run in the second inning and plated two more runs on a double in the fifth as the Mariners rallied for the lead. This was his third multi-hit effort in his last six games, and it's the first time he's driven in multiple runs since Aug. 5 versus the White Sox. Over the last seven games, Seattle has faced six left-handed pitchers, affording Polanco a chance to play in the field at second base over Cole Young. For the season, Polanco has a .252/.318/.458 slash line with 20 homers, 59 RBI, 49 runs scored and six stolen bases through 110 contests.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Ties career-high homer tally
Diaz went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Monday's 9-0 win over Cleveland.
Diaz smashed his 22nd homer of the year, tying the career high he set during the 2023 campaign. The infielder doesn't offer much in the way of speed -- he has three stolen bases in 2025 -- but he's been an excellent four-category fantasy contributor since the start of June. Diaz is hitting .312 with 14 big flies, 40 RBI and 39 runs scored over his last 269 at-bats.

Ben Rice 1B | NYY
Yankees' Ben Rice: Launches 21st long ball
Rice went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, two walks and an additional run scored in Monday's 10-5 win versus Washington.
The New York slugger garnered the start at catcher and pushed his team's lead to 2-0 with a titanic 435-foot solo shot off Nationals starter Brad Lord in the third. Rice has entered the conversation as one of the best fantasy backstops, as he's batted .290 (20-for-69) with five homers, 13 RBI, eight runs scored and a 12:15 BB:K in 21 games this month. Across 423 total plate appearances, the Dartmouth product is now slashing .241/.339/.488 with 57 runs scored and 48 RBI.

Colt Keith 3B | DET
Tigers' Colt Keith: Back in action
Keith (illness) is batting leadoff and serving as the designated hitter Monday against the Athletics, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Keith was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to illness, but it won't force him to miss more than one game. He'll aim to break out of a cold spell Monday evening after going 0-for-8 with one walk over his last four games.

Andrew McCutchen DH | PIT
Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Receiving rest Monday
McCutchen is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
The Pirates will give McCutchen a routine day off after he had been included in the starting nine in each of the last three contests. With McCutchen taking a seat, Bryan Reynolds will get a day off from playing right field but will stick in the lineup at designated hitter.

Miguel Andujar RF | SD
Reds' Miguel Andujar: Out of Monday's lineup
Andujar is not in the Reds' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Monday.
Andujar will be on the bench for the start of Monday's series opener while Gavin Lux serves as the designated hitter and Matt McLain starts at second base. Andujar is out of the Reds' starting nine for the third time in four games despite slashing .358/.424/.623 with three homers and 11 RBI in 18 games since being acquired by the Reds from the Athletics in late July.

Anthony Santander RF | TOR
Blue Jays' Anthony Santander: Hitting off high-velocity machine
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Monday that Santander (shoulder) has rejoined the Blue Jays in Toronto and has progressed to hitting off high-velocity pitching machines, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Santander's activation from the 60-day injured list isn't imminent, but he's finally making tangible progress as he works his way back from a subluxation of his left shoulder. The switch hitter will require a rehab assignment before returning from the IL, and it's uncertain when he'll be cleared for game action in the minors.

Mike Trout CF | LAA
Angels' Mike Trout: Resting after 0-for-10 weekend
Trout is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
After missing a pair of games to begin August while he recovered from an illness, Trout started in each of the Angels' ensuing 19 contests and slashed .231/.383/.323 with one home run, five RBI and 12 runs. He looks to be receiving a pre-planned rest day Monday after a rough weekend series against the Cubs in which he went 0-for-10 with seven strikeouts. Logan O'Hoppe will replace Trout in the lineup as the Angels' designated hitter.
-
Ivan Herrera C | STL
Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: First day off since All-Star break
Herrera is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates.
Herrera had started every game since the last contest of the first half, but he will receive a well-earned break as the Cardinals open up a series versus the Pirates. The 25-year-old's absence from the lineup comes after he posted a meager .437 OPS across his last 17 contests. Willson Contreras will serve as the team's designated hitter Monday.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Hitting bench Monday
Stanton is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
Stanton will get a breather after he started in right field in the final two games of the Yankees' weekend series versus Boston while going 3-for-7 with a solo home run, one double and two additional runs between the contests. His move to the bench for the series opener versus Washington clears a spot in the outfield for Jasson Dominguez.
