Mark Canha LF | TEX
Mets' Mark Canha: Out of lineup Tuesday
Canha is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Nationals.
Canha is riding a seven-game hitting streak, but he'll take a seat Tuesday versus the Nats and right-hander Josiah Gray. Jeff McNeil is in left field and Luis Guillorme will get a start at second base.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Out of lineup Tuesday
Ozuna is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.
There is growing speculation that Ozuna might fully lose his spot on Atlanta's active roster when Michael Harris (back) and Travis d'Arnaud (concussion) return from their respective IL stints. Ozuna, 32, has batted just .073/.190/.200 through 63 plate appearances this season.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Status quo with neck injury
Alvarez's neck injury is "about the same as yesterday," Astros manager Dusty Baker said in an interview on SportsTalk 790 in Houston on Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Baker indicated Monday that an injured list stint for Alvarez hasn't been ruled out and added the club is awaiting word from its doctors on how to proceed with the injury. Alvarez first began experiencing neck discomfort about a week ago and finally sat out on Monday against the Rays. Hopefully, more is known about Alvarez's condition prior to Tuesday's contest.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Could lose roster spot
Ozuna might be one of the players dropped from the 26-man roster when Michael Harris (back) and Travis d'Arnaud (concussion) return from the injured list, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Ozuna is slashing a pitiful .073/.190/.200 through 63 plate appearances to begin the season and has started only two of the last five games, losing playing time to the likes of Kevin Pillar and Eddie Rosario. D'Arnaud's return especially could leave Ozuna without a role on the roster, as he could take over as the DH against left-handed pitching. The 32-year-old is signed through 2024 at $16 million a season with a club option for 2025, but Atlanta might be willing to eat most of that contract, rather than carry an unproductive bat that offers little defensive value.

Nick Solak 1B | PIT
Braves' Nick Solak: Summoned from Triple-A
Atlanta recalled Solak from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Solak has bounced around to a few different organizations since the offseason, most recently landing with Atlanta last week via waivers. He'll give the club another utility option while Eli White is likely away from the team for the next three games while on the paternity list.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Goes deep twice
Rooker went 2-for-4 with two homers, three RBI and two walks in Monday's win over the Angels.
Oakland hit five home runs against Angels starter Jose Suarez, including solo shots from Rooker in the first and third innings. Rooker has gone deep six times with a pair of multi-homer games, all coming in his last 11 games. On the year, he's slashing .333/.441/.729 with 14 RBI and a 9:10 BB:K through 59 plate appearances.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Giants' Joc Pederson: Takes seat vs. southpaw
Pederson isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.
Pederson will head to the bench with the Giants set to face off against lefty Jordan Montgomery. This will give San Francisco a chance to ease Austin Slater back into action by slotting him into the DH role Monday evening.
-
Darin Ruf DH | MIL
Giants' Darin Ruf: Placed on IL with wrist injury
Ruf was placed on the 10-day injured list with right wrist inflammation by the Giants on Monday.
Ruf will miss at least a week-plus while he recovers. Austin Slater (hamstring) is reinstated off the injured list in a corresponding transaction, and it's likely that Slater will see his reps against left-handed pitching while Ruf is out of action.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Dealing with neck discomfort
Alvarez is dealing with neck discomfort and has been sent back to Houston for further evaluation, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Alvarez's absence from the lineup for Monday's series opener in Tampa Bay was initially believed to be a maintenance day, but Astros manager Dusty Baker later clarified that the slugger has been experiencing neck pain for the past week, according to Rome . It's unclear at this time if the left-handed slugger is going to need to be placed on the injured list or if he'll be available at all for the three-game series against the Rays. For now, Alvarez should be considered day-to-day until the Astros reveal the results of his upcoming examination. Corey Julks and David Hensley should see the majority of reps while Alvarez is unavailable.
