Choi is not in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the Angels, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Choi will sit for the fourth straight game as the Rays take on the Angels and left-hander Jose Suarez. Harold Ramirez will start at first base and bat fourth Tuesday.

Ohtani (illness) will serve as the Angels' designated hitter and No. 3 batter in Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Ohtani was withheld from the starting nine in Monday's 2-1 loss after he exited early in his start during Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Tigers due to a stomach bug, but the two-way superstar looks like he'll made a full recovery from the ailment. According to Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register, Ohtani has already been cleared to make his next start as a pitcher Saturday in Toronto, so he should serve as the Angels' DH for the next four games unless interim manager Phil Nevin elects to give him a breather.

Vogelbach went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Yankees.

He supplied the only offense for the Mets on the night, taking Domingo German deep in the seventh inning. Vogelbach has solidified the DH spot for his new club, slashing .284/.418/.541 through 26 games since being traded from the Pirates with four of his 16 homers on the season and 15 of his 49 RBI.

Buxton will get an MRI on his sore right hip and won't play Tuesday in Houston, Patrick Borzi of MinnPost.com reports.

Buxton was removed from Monday's 2-1 loss to the Rangers due to the sore hip, an injury he's been nursing for awhile. The 28-year-old could be dealing with more than a day-to-day injury, but the Twins aren't likely to provide a clear update on his outlook until the results of the MRI are available.

It initially looked as though Buxton was dealing with a knee injury, but the team announced later in the night that a hip injury was the reason for his removal. He'll be considered day-to-day moving forward, per Gleeman.

Buxton also dealt with a right knee issue earlier in the year, missing time in June due to soreness.

Harper (thumb) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Harper is expected to appear in Triple-A games through Saturday before resting Sunday. If he feels good throughout his rehab assignment, it's possible that he'll be cleared to rejoin the Phillies as early as Aug. 29, when the team begins a three-game series in Arizona. Before he underwent surgery on his left thumb in late June, Harper hadn't made a start in the outfield since April 16 while recovering from a UCL sprain in his right elbow. He had his throwing program shut down earlier this month after experiencing renewed soreness in his elbow, so he's expected to serve exclusively as a designated hitter for the Phillies when he eventually comes off the 60-day injured list.

He won't start as the designated hitter Monday, as Mike Trout is taking over the DH while Magneuris Sierra starts in center field. It's not yet clear whether Ohtani will be available off the bench if needed.

Miller went 2-for-3 with a walk, three RBI and a run in Sunday's 7-0 win over the Twins.

The three-RBI performance exceeded Miller's output (two) from his previous 24 games combined, a drought that extends back nearly two months. Even though he's holding down a mediocre .584 OPS for the season, the lefty-hitting Miller appears to have at least resolidified himself as a strong-side platoon player at designated hitter. He'll start at DH in Monday's series finale and will bat eighth.
